“Level 4.”

I like John Leguizamo, but I honestly couldn’t give a shit what he says about M: I Reckoning. This’ll sound weird, but when my mum passed away I didn’t have some cathartic moment; I just bottled it up. Then I went to see Reckoning. My mum loved the M: I films; she’d rewatch them constantly. And it suddenly hit me: she’d never know how it all ends. That realisation hit like a train. I sat there weeping in the dark as the film continued. I cried through half of it; not because it was bad, but because I knew she would’ve loved it. So I don’t care what Luigi thinks about Mission: Impossible. All I care about is that it means something to me. Cinema has always been a singular experience we share with a room full of strangers.
