If you experienced Hudl issues over the weekend, you're not alone.
Coaches, many of whom pay upwards of $15k for the service, had trouble nationwide with Live Replay, and getting their film from the game to show up in their library

Why are Nebraskaās taxes so high?
āFraudā and āincompetenceā are much bigger reasons than most of us would like to admit.
A state audit uncovered nearly $1 billion in accounting errors by the Lancaster County Treasurerās office, including improper distributions of property tax credit money. journalstar.com/news/local/gā¦

Stretching before exercise does not prevent injuries. A 2014 meta-analysis of 26,610 participants in the British Journal of Sports Medicine found that stretching had no effect on injury rates at all. Strength training cut injuries by a third.
The study was led by Jeppe Bo Lauersen at the University of Copenhagen. His team pooled every randomised trial that tested whether exercise-based programmes could prevent sports injuries, and compared the results by type: stretching, strength training, balance work, and combinations. Stretching reduced nothing. Strength training reduced injuries by 33 percent and cut overuse injuries, the ones that build up slowly over weeks, by nearly half.
The reason stretching fails is that it addresses the wrong problem. A muscle tear happens when a muscle is asked to produce more force than it can handle. Making a muscle longer does not make it stronger. Strength training does, and it also thickens tendons and stiffens the connective tissue around joints, all of which protect against the sudden loads that cause tears and sprains.
The finding goes against what every gym teacher, track coach, and physical therapist has said for fifty years. But the data is not close. Across every trial, every sport, and every injury type, stretching before exercise had zero detectable effect on whether the person got hurt.
This does not mean flexibility has no value. It means the five-minute hamstring stretch before a run is doing nothing for injury prevention, and replacing it with five minutes of bodyweight squats and lunges would be measurably better. The body does not need to be looser before it works. It needs to be ready to handle load, and that is a strength problem, not a flexibility problem. pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/2410ā¦

The comments on this are why kids stay weak and get hurt in sports.
āItāll stunt his growth.ā
āKids shouldnāt lift.ā
āThatās dangerous.ā
All of that is outdated and wrong.
Save this thread.
Iām going to bury that myth with actual research.š

Trying hard is cool. Giving your all is cool. Seeing what you're capable of is cool.
The only way to find out how good you can be...and who you are...is to risk something and give it your all. It's true in sport. It's true in life.
Go for it. Take the risk.

This is one of the most powerful videos Iāve seen about coaching.
Chris Fowler nails how hard this profession can be:
āCoaching is a calling more than a profession. You have to have what it takes to pour yourself into others.ā

This could be an unpopular take, but I canāt believe boys are giving up on football.
Want to run cross country or play tennis, I get it.
But, being involved in football changed my life. Teamwork. Bus rides. Locker rooms. Do something. Donāt stay home on Friday nights.
Boys Of Fall would not have been the same without my good friend @SeanPayton. This is Sean giving a pregame speech in Naperville, Illinois where he played High School football. This speech wasnāt scripted. He spoke from heart. Sean is a great football coach but he is a great communicator and motivator. This speech still gives me chills. Sean I am forever grateful. Itās football season everyone. KC

Jocko Willink was asked for the single habit that improves leadership, parenthood, and physical performance. His answer was direct. Wake up early enough to complete some form of physical activity before the day starts. Ten minutes counts. The modality is secondary. The sequence is what matters. Exercise before the day begins produces sharper thinking, better decisions, stronger interactions, and greater resilience across every domain of life. One habit. Every area of your life improves.

Luke Falk shared a Mike Leach story that stopped me cold:
Two kids. One rich. One poor.
Every training camp, Coach Leach told his team about these 2 kids.
The rich kid has two choices.
Get soft. Get entitled. Expect everything handed to him because he was handed more.
Or take the resources, the coaching, the opportunities, and compound them into something greater.
The poor kid has two choices too.
Say nobody gave him anything. Blame the world. Make his circumstances the reason he never became what he could have been.
Or outwork everyone in the room.
Luke said the locker room had both. Kids from wealth. Kids from nothing. Kids with every advantage. Kids who scraped for every inch.
Same choice for all of them.
Ownership or victimhood.
Fuel or excuse.
The rich kid can waste the head start or build on it.
The poor kid can drown in the deficit or weaponize it.
Greatness doesn't come from where you start.
It comes from which kid you choose to feed.

Most football staffs donāt fail because of talent.
They fail because:
⢠No clear structure
