The worst.
Colorado State’s HC says his new defensive coordinator has been SLEEPING at the facility: “Kenny hasn’t been home in two weeks… We took our LB’s office and turned it into a bedroom.”

If you dance to “Shout” at Oregon and win (UCLA), everyone loves it. If you dance to “Shout” and lose (Nebraska), suddenly the dancing is why you lost. Same dance. Different outcome. Different narrative. Winning validates everything. Losing makes everything a mistake. 🙃
Matt Rhule on Nebraska players dancing to 'Shout' before the 4th quarter at Oregon: "I will never do that again. That's emb... I have to own that. I was sitting out there like 'What the.. Get in here. Let's go play.'" #Huskers @1011_News

“Head-Over-Foot” - No, head in the middle “Coil the Core” - No, spine has to be stiff “Double Down Pulse” - No, you’re a clown All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident. We are entering the Third stage. Two decades I’ve been “fighting” to share athletic advantage with biomechanical truth. Innovators go thru two stages. First, the reaction to being called a fraud is “f-you”. Second, I’ve been trying to unify us all with truth and accuracy, and I am grateful that you now understand and acknowledge what I’ve been saying is true and accurate all along. It is time to end the infighting. Forgiveness and reconciliation is what serves the athletes we train best.

Jumping, bouncing, and plyometrics are things that fast, explosive, elite athletes do well. I’ve often wondered what would happen if you trained all winter with a total focus on jumping, bouncing, and plyometrics… in the absence of fatigue. 🤔
Jumping is one of the highest ROIs you can have in your training. It allows you to tap into high speeds multiple times a session without too much residual fatigue. You should be jumping in some way, every single training session!

When you leave ATP-PC (phosphagen), you are no longer training max speed. No one runs the 400 at max speed. To improve max speed, sprint FRESH for 5-6 seconds. Bolt hit 27.6 mph running the 100m in 9.58 If someone could AVERAGE 23 mph for 400m, time would be 38.91
Love this graphic from @JakeSportsPerf Phosphagen ➡️ max speed *sprint* (100m) Glycolytic ➡️ *sprint* farther (400m) Oxidative ➡️ distance *running* 💥 sprinting and running are trained differently

100% true IMO. – at Highland Beach, FL
The first 90% of what I program is 90% the same regardless of sport. They all need to sprint, jump, lift fast, and lift heavy. The final couple minutes is what makes it “sport specific.” But baseball ends the day with grip work, football gets neck work and hand fighting, etc.

As a strength coach I tell my athletes “I can make you stronger, but I cannot make you longer.” NBA scouts ask me about this measurement 1st. Not the vertical jump, not the bench press, not the squat, but the wingspan. Specifically in relation to the players height. This player is 6’6 with nearly a 7’1 wingspan! Genetics win!
