Two bonded dogs arrived at a shelter together after the only home they had ever known suddenly disappeared. Their elderly owner had moved into assisted living and could no longer care for them, so the pair entered the shelter side by side.
For days, the older beagle mix and his smaller terrier companion did almost everything together. They slept pressed against each other on the same thin bed, shared the same little corner of the kennel, and whenever footsteps echoed through the hallway, both dogs would rush to the gate at the exact same time.
Then one day, a foster placement finally became available.
But there was only room for one dog.
As a shelter worker led the smaller dog down the hallway, the older dog immediately followed along the bars as tar as his kennel would allow. He watched until his friend disappeared around the corner.
When the hallway went quiet, he started searching.
He checked the bed they had shared, walked around the water bowl, returned to the gate, then looked back toward the empty blanket again. For several minutes, he seemed to keep expecting his best friend to come walking back through the door.
But he never did But he never did
The older dog couldn't understand why the companion who had slept beside him every night was suddenly gone. All he knew was that the other half of his little family wasn't there anymore.

Mayito, desperate & begging for help.
Instead of help, they gave him a death sentence for "kennel destruction"
What does it take for you who pays for this shit to demand an end to the killing and demand that it be replaced by a rescue system that truly cares about pets in need.

🚨#BREAKING: A mother in New York just burst into TEARS and started THROWING UP in court after a judge sentenced a man who ST*BBBED her 22 TIMES…
…to just 8.5 YEARS in prison
She is left with PERMANENT nerve damage in her hands and face.
Yes, you read that right.
She nearly d*ed, and he'll be out at 31.
Her name is Kaitlynn Berman. She's 23 years old and a mom.
In March 2025, Kaitlynn was in her Wakefield apartment with Joseph, someone she once considered a friend.
She says she was trying to get him to leave.
That's when, she says, he pulled out a knife.
Her words: "He kept stbbing me and stbbing me and st*bbing me over again."
More than 20 times.
He was arrested the next day and charged with ATTEMPTED M*RDER and ROBBERY.
Kaitlynn spent a month and a half in the hospital.
Multiple surgeries.
She lives with PERMANENT nerve damage in her face and BOTH hands.
AND IT GETS WORSE.
In December 2025, Joseph was RELEASED. No bail.
Court paperwork says an email about outstanding discovery went unanswered... so his lawyer asked for him to be let go.
And he was.
A man charged with attempted m*rder went home on his own recognizance while she was still healing.
Then on Wednesday, a Bronx judge signed off on his plea deal.
8.5 years in prison.
5 years of post-release supervision.
That's it.
Her advocate says she was so horrified in court that she THREW UP.
Please pray for Kaitlynn and her little girl.
WE DO NOT HAVE TO LIVE LIKE THIS!!!!!!!

This sweet boy has been placed on the euthanasia list for TOMORROW because of an unpaid $1,300 medical bill. No one has come forward to clear it.
He doesn’t deserve to lose his life over a debt. Please don’t scroll past — every share and every dollar matters. He needs a savior today.

Follow this guy. He’s about to spend an entire year without looking at a screen, while tracking his biomarkers and overall health to see what changes.
It feels like removing a dagger from my leg.
Headache. Dysphoria. Flatness. Hearing phantom iPhone dings in my sleep.
Days 1-3 were more of a rush. I felt light and free.
On day 4, the withdrawals began. I've never had to kick something like this before.
Screens are a legit addiction.
I'm curious to see if the month 6 PET scan shows enhanced metabolism in regions that improve in drug addicts who quit like the thalamus, frontal cortex, and striatum (reward circuit).
There are no PET studies of people quitting screens, so Dr. Eber and I are breaking new ground.
Image attached is baseline PET (F18 tracer). That's one of a few scans I'm tracking.

I want to be José
Ron Baron is 83. In front of thousands of investors in New York, he looked at Elon Musk and asked the one question an 83-year-old asks.
"How do you want people to think about you?"
For the full hour before, it had been trillion-dollar chip fabs. Starship. Starlink. The business of the richest man alive.
Then Baron added, quieter: "Nobody would work the way you work just to accumulate money."
Elon paused.
"I'd like the reality to be that I made a significant contribution in the furtherance of civilization."
One sentence. Civilization.
And then, in the same room, he told them about Jose.
Jose is the guy in the meme. One man digging a hole in the road. Eight men standing around watching him dig.
"Unless you increase the number of Joses in the country, the amount of work done does not increase."
"I aspire to be Jose."
"We do actual work."
This from a man who lives in an Airstream parked next to his power plant in Memphis. Who pulls power cables "the size of an anaconda" with his own hands.
Asked how he wants history to remember him, he said civilization.
Asked who he wants to be, he said the guy with the shovel.
The richest man in the world wants to dig. 🇺🇸🚀

I need more Elon Musk anime in my life
Have some more where this came from @PsyopAnime?

"Day 3 after murdering somebody": 16-year-old Sierra Halseth and her 18-year-old boyfriend filmed themselves joking after her father was found dead.
In the video below, Inside Edition shows the clip police found on Sierra's phone.
Daniel Halseth, 45, didn't approve of his daughter dating Aaron Guerrero. When the families found out the teens planned to run away together, both sets of parents stopped them from seeing each other.
On April 9, 2021, Daniel's burned body was found in the garage of his Las Vegas home. He had been stabbed and cut 70 times. Prosecutors said the teens had bought a circular saw, bleach and lighter fluid before the killing, then fled in his car. They were arrested 4 days later in Salt Lake City.
On the video from Sierra's phone, Guerrero jokes about murder and Sierra tells him not to put that on camera.
At sentencing, Sierra claimed her father had abused her sexually and physically. Her own lawyer said the evidence didn't allow him to confirm all of those claims. Guerrero apologized to Daniel's family. Both pleaded guilty and were sentenced to life with parole possible after 22 years.
1 forbidden romance, 70 wounds, 22 years to life.
Was she a victim who snapped, or a teenager who killed so she could run off with her boyfriend?
