🚨 This is crazy
To dumb it down –– someone connected to or at the White House was apparently letting random people or entities on the internet route their traffic through a government network. That means strangers could make it look like they were browsing from the White House.
‼️ The White House network was acting as a residential proxy, letting paid strangers' traffic exit through it 236 times in a month, threat-intel firm Layer3 Intel says.
Layer3 bought a few dollars of proxy access and saw traffic come out of 6 addresses registered to the Executive Office of the President, via 28 different proxy services.
About half ran between 5pm and midnight Eastern time, which Layer3 says points to a person's device rather than guest Wi-Fi.
Layer3 says it has kept the raw logs for any agency that asks.

someone that is at the Whitehouse between 5pm and midnight has some compromised devices.
Or at least some that are providing residential proxy access to botnets.

A 10-year old boy wrote Virginia Foxx a letter as part of a school project. He had to write a persuasive essay and he chose tax credits for electric vehicles. The congresswoman responded by ripping him & his teacher.
Last night, voters retired Rep. Foxx.

Q: Fighting crime is certainly a noble thing and you talk a great game, but how do you reconcile that with the fact that on this first day back in office, President Trump pardoned 1,500 people who rioted at the Capitol on January 6, and almost 100 of those people subsequently committed crimes, including weapons violations, sexual assault, and sexual assaults of children. Letting people out of federal prison who have subsequently committed all these crimes -- isn’t that a part of public safety as well?
BLANCHE: So the power to pardon is not something that's given to me. Our Constitution gives it to the president.

I am having a hard time understanding how high speed rail takes 20 years of reviewing, permitting, approval, and public comment but we can just drop enormous data centers on top of people in a matter of months.

7 months ago, AOC and I introduced an AI data center moratorium.
Last night, 43 of 44 communities voted for one locally.
