Linus Torvalds to the anti-AI crowd: stop using compilers if you want to prove they’re REAL programmers. LOL.
“you had better not use an editor to write that commit message either.
The kind of expectations *I* have is that people do their best and I expect people to understand what they are doing.
But that understanding has very little to do with what tools they use.
And quite honestly, in my experience, the people I respect and call intelligent are not the ones that shy away from using new and interesting tools.”

This is of the most Gen Z stories ever -- rather extreme and from Brazil -- but applicable to most of the world.
A 21-year-old black law student named @aanaelisast built a very large YouTube following with daily pro-Lula and far-left political content. She just parlayed that into a stunning vote total to be elected to Brazil's national Congress at 21 (with more than 500,000 votes).
Overnight she became the media darling. They all heralded her as the genius and pioneer to help Lula figure out how to use social media to reach young voters to help him overcome his deficit behind Flavio Bolsonaro. Lula's campaign put her on its communications team.
Such a sweet, inspiring story . . . . BUT THEN:
People started predictably looking into what she's been saying. And they found pretty much the worst possible messages for Lula's campaign at this stage: she called for the shutting of churches, expressed what appears to be anti-white hatred, called for Moraes to censor or shut Instagram, YouTube, X in order to block conservative messaging, etc. etc.
Some of it was a bit out of context, some ironic, all of it written at a young age (since she's 21, that's true of everything). The only way to build a large internet following that quickly is through deliberately provocative and even extremist messaging that may or may not reflect the persons's true character and beliefs. But in political warfare, those nuances are irrelevant.
At first she denied the worst messages, claiming they were forged and even threatened to sue those who fabricated them. Then she admitted they are all authentic, then closed and locked her social media accounts, and now Lula's campaign has to repudiate her.
I've long said that the thing for which I'm most grateful is that I didn't have to grow up with every thought and traansressive view that I had at 17 and 19 and 21 years old permanently recorded online. As people increasingly enter politics whose lives were never internet-free, the only people who will escape this kind of negative scrutiny are soulless, bloodless people created in vats and labs to be US Senators: like the Pete Buttigiegs and Mitt Romneys of the world. Grim all the way around.

ok hear me out:
movimento VIRA VOTO 🇻🇳, mas com @LulaOficial fazendo live de NPC no tiktok
Fascinating to see how fast the vibe has shifted through the stages over just the last few days. Barely see any anger any more, still a good deal of bargaining, though. I swear it gets better if you keep going. Acceptance is freedom.

30 years ago folks told me the internet was dumb because it was just a faster way to send mail.
15 years ago folks told me bitcoin was dumb because it was just for buying drugs on the darknet.
Today folks tell me agentic AI is dumb because it's just for vibe coding apps.
actually I'm not un-nix-pilled
I'm just un-nixos-pilled for my base workstation (nixOS VMs are ok)
I have a few qwen3.8 omarchy clankers juicing this up locally: github.com/plebhash/nix-bitc…

I used Opus 5.5 to formally verify the Claude Agent SDK using Lean. A couple short prompts = 16 PRs fixing various bugs and race conditions. Video attached.
TLA+ also works well. I sometimes combine Lean and TLA+ to look for issues around data flow, concurrency, and state mgmt.
I don't know either language well, but Claude is excellent at both. This approach is super useful for formally modeling your code and finding bugs that a human probably wouldn't have spotted.
Is formal verification the future of coding (or at least, bug finding)?
imagina o absurdo que seria alguém escrever isso na spamchain
eu não tenho coragem, pois tenho maior respeito (e temor) ao judiciário brasileiro
essa entao mais absurda ainda

Rare to report bugs and get a rebuilt security process back. Giant ups to the @StratumV2 team on the release, and thanks for being early with us.
New SV2 releases are out, bringing security hardening and various other improvements to our libraries and applications!
🧩 SV2 Protocol libs v1.12
🏗️ SV2 Apps v0.8
⛏️ SV2 UI v0.7 (coming soon on @umbrel)
Applications updates improve Job Declaration stability and Bitcoin Core integration, Translator Proxy overhaul, and add automatic discovery of ASIC telemetry endpoints.
Protocol library highlights include a deep hardening pass over channels_sv2, a breaking refactor of the codec and framing layer, BIP323 adaptations across the protocol stack. Noise_sv2 was improved with regards to memory hygiene, nonce reuse, RNG quality, and buffer recovery. Every published crate that changed takes an incompatible version bump, so downstream consumers should expect to adapt.
We’re proud to have been early participants in @ProjectLoupe . Their findings helped shape this release and gave us a head start in adapting how we triage reports, prioritize fixes, and organize development around security. Thank you to the Loupe team for their work and support!
oh boy here we go into another rabbit hole

What is a decision model?
Jev by @typesafeai answers yes/no and multiple-choice questions, with a confidence score. Much of software development are a sequence of decisions, and Jev is 10x cheaper and faster than an LLM.
Let’s understand this through practical examples:
