Absolute fire here from Monique Ryan: “She is a negative force in Australian politics.” For decades Pauline Hanson has been platformed and legitimised despite the racism, bigotry and division. If you’re going to give her the platform and the reach, then hold her to account.

The only ‘shithousery’ is coming from Trump. History’s longest, stupidest tantrum over not getting a certain prize for which he is the planet’s least qualified. Norway one of the best and best-managed countries in the world.
WARNING: STRONG LANGUAGE President Trump escalated his invective against Norway, calling it a ‘shit house country’ and saying Norwegian immigrants are not welcome in the United States because the Nobel committee, based in the capital Oslo, has not awarded him a Peace Prize reut.rs/3U1joSt

Good question
Why is this wife-beating, drug-addicted clown allowed to get away with such outrageous lies?

I’ll take a shot at answering one of these good questions. These poor young people are not dying for "no reason". They’re dying because Vladimir Putin's Russia invaded Ukraine and Ukrainians don’t want to be murdered. I hope this helps.

German parliamentarian Max Krah of the "Alternative für Deutschland" party, which is far-right and pro-Putin (to put it mildly) on the Serbian election: "Not a good day. After Hungary, we have lost Serbia as well."
Kein guter Tag. Nach Ungarn haben wir auch Serbien verloren. Es zeigt sich, dass sich die Rechte neu aufstellen muss. Das bisherige Konzept reicht nicht, um zu überzeugen.

Trump is now talking about Nicki Minaj’s “one hell of a beautiful ass”. This is how the country has fallen. This is sexual harassment.

"If you're not angry, you're not listening" If you haven't already, take the time to listen to this eloquent young American. Says it all: succintly.
A lot of people missed this young woman's clip at the No Kings protest, she was really iconic, wrapped in the flag, talking straight to camera while the march moved around her. She is a brave person and worth watching again and again.

Radio Free Europe played a vital role in providing independent news during the struggle against Milošević. Today, once again, @RFERL stands with the Serbian people in their fight for democracy and freedom of information. Amazing work @RSE_Balkan
Aleksandar Vucic, Serbia's former president and dominant political figure for more than a decade, conceded defeat to the student-led protest movement in the country's parliamentary elections. While the final election results were yet to be announced, independent observers reported that voter turnout could reach its highest level in decades, approaching 70 percent after a day of long lines at polling stations. Excellent news: good riddance. How the Hell was she still there anyway!?
An overlooked positive side effect of the Serbian parliamentary election today is that Ivica Dačić, the former spokesman of Slobodan Milošević’s Socialist Party of Serbia, appears to have been voted out of parliament, along with his party. One of the darkest figures in Serbian history is thus leaving the stage, hopefully for good.

Some context on that election result in Serbia
The election results in Serbia are good news for the security and stability of the entire Western Balkans, as Vucic was the chief architect of virtually all major disputes in the region. That said, the Student List is a heterodox coalition. We should not expect a 180 degree transformation in Belgrade's positions on Kosovo, Bosnia, or Montenegro. The (ultra)nationalist right will remain a major factor in the country's politics. And presidential elections are scheduled for December. As such, a (significant) degree of wariness in regional capitals is also not without merit. Still, this is an opening, and politics - especially in the Balkans - is a game of inches. Decades of animosity aside, neighboring states should give the new government the opportunity to prove and constitute itself. Accept now that the official rhetoric will be over the map ideologically, especially at first. Real progress may need to be quiet, and unglamorous. The Serbian people have made a major decision. The entire region would benefit from a democratic, moderate Serbia. This may - or not - be its genesis. Let us at least give the citizens of Serbia a chance to finish what they have started tonight.

Good
Bosnian Serb secessionist leader Dodik secured U.S. sanctions relief in October 2025 but in 2026 he appears to have lost his two chief patrons: Orban and Vucic. Even with his SNSD’s re-election weeks ago in Bosnia, this is a disastrous turn of events for the Banja Luka regime.

This is a man who knowingly took up Nazi rhetoric to gin up the hatred behind an ongoing ethnic cleansing of Haitian refugees from his own state.

The Putin-Trump candidate in Serbia defeated
A stunning defeat for a Trump-aligned right-wing leader in Europe. Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić, whose government cultivated close ties with Donald Trump and his family, has conceded defeat to a student-led opposition movement in a historic parliamentary election. Trump's son Donald Trump Jr. personally met with Vučić, while Jared Kushner pursued a major luxury real estate project with his government. Now, after nearly two years of massive student-led protests against corruption and authoritarianism, Vučić's ruling party has been defeated at the ballot box. The student-backed movement is projected to win a parliamentary majority, ending more than a decade of dominance by Vučić's party.

Tonight - Serbia feels like the new Hungary - over throwing of a Russia friendly / Putin sympathising leader for something genuinely new - in Serbias case a student led party . Does this shift dynamics in the war on Ukraine ? And with the shape of the EU?
I have just spoken by phone with the leaders of the Students' List @studentblokade, who won the elections in Serbia, to congratulate them on their victory. I assured them of Hungary’s support. I was delighted to hear how much strength our victory in April had given them during this difficult struggle.
