Annie Andrews on Fox News:
“I’m eager for South Carolinians to hold me accountable. If I don’t work across the aisle to solve problems, then you can fire me in six years.”
“And I'm really eager to prove to everyone in South Carolina that I say what I mean and meant what I said.”

This has been the most rewarding campaign I've managed — let me tell you, @AnnieAndrewsMD is the real deal.
She's strategic, trusts her team, & works incredibly hard. At the core, Annie won because voters got to know her as a deeply genuine person who'll be an excellent Senator.
BACKSTORY - How Annie Andrews shocked the world in SC
- After Graham won primary, Andrews spent $5M+ on ads when she basically had airwaves to herself. By October her campaign had a 3-point lead and never trailed but didn't release the poll
- Trump's Graham endorsement backfired. Mark Sanford: “A Waterloo moment for Trump ... this is a person who said: ‘Close your eyes and pretend you’re voting for me.’ OK, they did ... They just didn’t like Darline as a candidate and felt it had been forced down their throats by Trump"
- Andrews made big inroads with Rs by courting supporters of Ralph Norman, getting Beasley endorsement. She worked closely with Clyburn to help juice turnout and other than Warnock kept the campaign local
- This all led to a convincing win and ... coat tails. Dems picked up the Lowcountry House seat. Andrews ran ahead of Dem guv candidate; and Graham ran way behind

"But over the last couple weeks, the whole country tuned in as national Republicans and Democrats alike poured money in. At the moment it’s the biggest surprise on the Senate map"

SOUTH CAROLINA SENATE CONTRAST: "As a physician who has worked in South Carolina’s healthcare system for 15 years, that Medicaid is really the backbone of children’s healthcare here in South Carolina. If these budget cuts go through, rural hospitals will close, tens of thousands of South Carolinians will lose their insurance, and that will be my number one priority." @AnnieAndrewsMD
South Carolina U.S. Senate Democratic candidate Dr. Annie Andrews detailed her legislative priorities, highlighting everyday affordability and healthcare protection as the top issues facing South Carolinians. Citing her 15-year background as a practicing physician, Andrews stated that preventing impending Medicaid budget cuts will be her immediate priority if elected, warning that reduced funding would jeopardize rural hospitals and healthcare coverage for families across the state.
