Great actress. Loved Kate and Alli
Actress Susan Saint James has died. She was 80.
Saint James won an Emmy in 1969 for her role in "The Name of the Game" and co-starred with Rock Hudson in the 1970s crime series "McMillan & Wife."
Then, in the 1980s, she starred in "Kate & Allie," a sitcom about two divorced mothers. Saint James portrayed the free-spirited Kate who moves in with the straight-laced Allie, played by Jane Curtin.
Outside of acting, Saint James was a long-time supporter of the Special Olympics and served on its board of directors.
Saint James died Monday after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.

It's almost time. You have the power to make a choice for America.
The Choice 2026
OSSOFF: If you’re late with your rent, the machinery of late fees and eviction is very efficient. But when you tell your landlord about the black mold in your daughter’s bedroom, nobody comes for four months. And then, when you’ve got to take her to the hospital for her asthma attack, you get a $3,000 bill for the ambulance.
Life was already hard enough before Donald Trump lied us into war, before his tariffs made everything more expensive, and before he doubled your health insurance premiums and slashed Medicaid.
It costs more today than ever before in American history to fill up your truck, to stock your fridge, to power your home, to go to the doctor.
Meanwhile, and you’ve seen it, the president and the first family line their pockets to the tune of billions of dollars.
The time has come to wield the power granted to us by our Constitution and rebuke this obscenity.
You have no substantive policy ideas. You acknowledge high gas prices which you support. Kansas vote him out.

Look, the simple truth is that on November 3rd, the Republican Party needs to be punished. The Republican Party needs to be punished BIG TIME for continuing to embrace a sociopathic madman who is a traitor to, and an enemy of, America.

Yes to all of it
If you were an educator of this young woman, know you did it right. You taught more than places, names and dates. I bet she was a 'pleasure to have in class' and was enthusiastic about learning. That passion came from you. I hope your coffee/tea is perfect. I hope she becomes a Senator. #girlpower

Imagine if you stood up at work and said “You know who has one hell of a beautiful ass? It’s Carol from accounting. Stand up Carol! Show them your ass!”
You’d be fired within the hour but the president gets a pass because everyone has accepted the fact that he’s a scumbag.

The penalty after Lions St. Brown going turbo thinking he wasn’t down - gets back up - gets taken back down (still no whistle) and happens to kick the ref in the mid-section - being called Packers unnecessary roughness is a perfect example of how bad the NFL has become.
This is sad. Beamer’s father is either misinformed or he’s a racist. El-sayed is a Michigan born and raised American
Beamer on El-Sayed: He has a birth certificate but he's not an American. He had the choice to be an American or not. He has chosen otherwise. He has blood that's red. However, he has chosen to remove any strain of the white and blue part in his blood. We cannot allow this man to invade and, occupy our country.
(He is an American)

Appears @VivekGRamaswamy led the charge on the ad despite staff telling him it was a disaster? He’s worse than anyone thinks. It’s him @JDVance and Trump. Worst of the worst.

Ana Navarro: “I’m never gonna be a sellout to the Latino community. I am never ever ever going to legitimize a man who is targeting my community and inflicting suffering on Black and brown people. I have been in this country through 7 different presidents from Carter to Trump. I would have gone and sat down with every single one of them except Trump. I am in no way ever going to sit down with the man and treat him as if he was normal. What he’s doing to America is not normal”

“We are registered Republicans, but as members of the United Methodist Church of the Resurrection in Leawood, we can’t stand by and listen to the lies about Adam Hamilton by his opponent in the race for Kansas’ seat in the U.S. Senate.
Let us tell you the truth about Hamilton, our pastor and friend for 26 years.
He is genuine, caring, honest, humble and very smart, with great vision and the ability to bring sides together to solve problems. He is someone who will listen to you and whom you can trust, knowing he will work for all the people of Kansas. He is not far left or far right but is, in fact, the moderate we have seen all these years.
We urge you to go hear Adam speak and to meet him if you have the opportunity because you will see how genuine he is. His beliefs and values shape who he is. Despite his busy campaign schedule, he recently visited a longtime church member and friend of ours who is in hospice. That’s who he is.
Adam Hamilton founded Resurrection in 1990, and the church has grown into the nation’s largest United Methodist congregation under his leadership. He would be the first to say, however, that it is God’s church, not his.
The thing we love most about our church is its service and outreach to others.
Resurrection has been the largest donor of blood in the Kansas City area for many years running. The church, under Adam’s direction, gives all its Christmas offerings (about $2 million last year) to those in need in the Kansas City area and in Africa.
Members have painted inner-city schools, built playgrounds, provided school supplies, given out tons of food and purchased a mobile dental clinic and funded a pharmacy for those who can’t afford such services.
The church holds an annual leadership institute where Methodist pastors and leaders from across the country gather to learn, share and be inspired.
This is why we are not supporting Republicans this year:
First, here’s a quote from Winston Churchill: “Those that fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it.” That is where America finds itself today, in a war without an end.
Second, having a daughter, a granddaughter and daughter-in-law, we see no support for the release of the Epstein files.
Third, as retirees with Social Security being our main source of income, we find that the campaign promises during the last elections for improving the economy have fallen flat. There also is a lack of decorum in our elected officials, whom we expect to treat others as they want to be treated (do unto others).
And, finally, we quote Harry Truman on politicians: “Show me a man that gets rich by being a politician, and I’ll show you a crook.”
That’s what is very wrong in Washington today and why we support @Hamilton4Kansas.
He will be a great senator for Kansas!”
(Gerry and Mary Lewis of Overland Park have been members of Resurrection since 2000. Both are area college graduates and have worked for Kansas City area major employers Sprint and Hallmark Cards.)

People often wonder why more good people don’t go into politics. Well, in large part, it’s because of things like what Vivek Ramaswamy did to his opponent Amy Acton. Ads like the one he put out are simply disgusting. They are examples of gutter politics, of trying to paint opponents in the most degrading light.
The ad that he and his campaign produced, endorsed, and are standing behind tells you everything about his character, or lack thereof. It tells you how low he will go. It tells you all you need to know about the kind of politician he is. I do not use the word leader because this is not the behavior of a leader.
We in this country have the opportunity in these midterm elections to elect leaders of character, of compassion, of integrity. Who treat their opponents with respect, with regard for them their history, for their families.
The good people of Ohio know gutter politics when they see it. The people of this country are going to throw men like this to the curb where they belong. May they can sit there and reflect on their behavior. They definitely shouldn’t be sitting behind a desk in a state capital or in our nation’s capital. End of story
