Just heard back from the ringers. This bird was ringed on 5/9/26 at Makkevika in Norway.

Regular Norwegian #ColourRinged Black-headed Gull ( J2321 ) back at QE2 Lake #Northumberland for another winter. It was joined by a newbie (J2335) which was ringed on 26/7/26 near Trondheim.

Something needs to be done about these international breaks.
You cannot have 3 international breaks in 3 months like we did last season. You cannot have an International break as soon as 5 games into the domestic season that last for 3 WEEKS.
We’ve just had a World Cup, there’s absolutely no excuse to bring international football back to the fore this soon for this long and for what? The Nations League? Something that was introduced to make international friendlies a little less meaningless.
We do not need this much international football.
