"The gospel is to be applied to every area of thinking, feeling, relating, working, and behaving." - Tim Keller
Whenever I encounter professing Christians who don’t eat pork because of the Old Testament makes me think they should probably read the New Testament a little more carefully. Jesus made it all right. (see Acts 10:9-15).
God bless the airport gate agents who have to deal with jumbled flight schedules, angry passengers with disrupted plans, and rescheduling mayhem through no fault of their own. The ones who still maintain good customer service & positive decorum are MVPs.
It’s hard losing a parent. But even harder when it happens way sooner than you think it should have. I lost my mom when I was 9 yrs old. Now I pray for the teen offspring of our music director who passed away last week. There are milestones that will be missed.
Being a minority member in the PCA where we are a small percentage, I NEVER think of my church as a white church. There are too many loving saints who just what to uphold Christ’s kingdom & be the body that Christ called us to be to get entangled in racial essentialism. /1
I really appreciated @JohnPennylegion addressing that trite statement about being so heavenly minded and being of no earthly good in the sermon today on Col. 3:1-4 that commands us to set our minds on things above. We ARE supposed to be heavenly minded & it produces good.
We live in a day & age where preferred narrative is valued over truth, even among Christians. This makes it harder to simply state facts (or Scripture). because it must line up with the stories we tell ourselves. Christians must resist this kind of captivation.
An excellent response from @KJBrigg to the curse of Ham nonsense that has recently resurfaced. Hard to believe that in 2026, this anti-Christian foolishness still needs to be addressed. christianpost.com/voices/dal…
This spoke to me!
A potem życie zrobiło swoje i dziś żyjemy w dwóch różnych światach.
Ona: dzieci, szkoła, dydaktyka, nauka, góry, natura, koty, dramaty.
Ja: firmy, fundusze, inwestycje, biznes, miasto, beton, psy, komedie.
Ona: kreatywna, empatyczna, marzycielska.
No to ogłaszam...
To dekoracja.
Więc jeśli twoja druga połówka to twoje przeciwieństwo, przestań to naprawiać. Może właśnie tam mieszka wasz sekret.
Nie musicie kochać tych samych rzeczy.
Wystarczą te same wartości, ten sam kierunek, szacunek do różnic i troska o drugą połowę większa niż o siebie.
Mimo to każdego dnia wybierała to samo... mnie.
In a positive note, got to visit Canada for the first time & even better, Montreal ou tous les personnes parlent français et je peux lire tous les panneaux et publicité.
Came home from 8 days of travel (part flight, part road trip) to discover 1) I lost my iPad somewhere & 2) our A/C went on the fritz. Ok, welcome home 😩
2 weeks in & finding managing Type 2 as a foodie has been quite the challenge. Going from following whatever my tastebuds want to intense food management-weighing food, reading labels, carb workarounds, increased meal planning. I’m doing it, but man! I love good food.
So I learned today that I have officially entered into the diabetes realm on top of ongoing battle with glaucoma. Aging is not fun. But I kept thinking at least it's not cancer. #perspective
People who insist on commenting on articles they refuse to read is something I will never understand. Crazy
Imagine telling the immigrant who has come from hard places to America to enjoy its freedoms that Independence Day is not worth celebrating. They will look at you confused & crazy. Happy 250th! 🇺🇸
I am a descendant of slaves & I celebrate the 4th of July. I am glad for it. It was our founding principles that confronted the inconsistent applications of slavery, Jim Crow & discrimination. I don’t, nor can never understand, repudiation of independ. celebration. Happy 4th 🇺🇸
