My 16-minute solo talk analyzing how the Iran-US conflict and its proxy, the Houthis (whom I termed "Kharji" for the first time on Pakistani TV), launched attacks on Saudi Arabia. We broke down how the Mecca Alliance has formed and how the Mecca Pact is responding directly to Iran and the Houthis as traditional US security guarantees weaken. We also covered the shifting regional roles of KSA, Pakistan, and Turkiye, alongside ongoing Iran-US negotiations.
Hats off to G-News for being open and airing it.
Fars News Agency publishes a photo of a Saudi military transport aircraft of the "Hercules C-130" type at Mehrabad Airport in the Iranian capital, Tehran.
Javed Zarif is one of the most sanest voices from Iran says, “We should invest today’s meeting in laying the foundations for the “West Asia Security Network” laying ground work for mutual benefit, prosperity and peace.
High-level shuttle diplomacy in Tehran, mediated by FM Asim Munir after overnight back-and-forths with Iranian, Saudi & Turkish principals. Venue locked in Tehran to address the full outstanding dossier: Strait of Hormuz transit guarantees, Yemen de-escalation process, Kingdom security assurances, and a structured accession pathway for Iran into the Mecca Defence Alliance (MDA). Clear redline could be transmitted: Israeli/US kinetic action does not confer any right of retaliation against KSA or MDA collective-defence clauses (Article-5 equivalent) would be activated. The Alliance is framed as the indigenous regional security architecture replacing Western external cover, countering external designs, and delivering mutual deterrence + prosperity for the region.
Hope is Iran prioritizes unity over escalation.
@kbsalsaud @Rayedkrimly
Mother of all meetings set by Mecca Alliance: Saudi Defense Minister Prince @kbsalsaud is in Tehran today leading a Makkah Joint Defense Agreement delegation (with Pakistan’s Field Marshal Asim Munir and Turkey’s intel chief Ibrahim Kalin) for talks with Iranian President Pezeshkian and SNSC chief Mohsen Rezaei.
Aim: de-escalation, dialogue, and support for Pakistan mediation amid Houthi attacks on the Kingdom and broader regional tensions. Could possibly guarantee partnership with Mecca Alliance. Hope for peace remains
Random person to Sirajuddin Haqqani in Afghanistan, " My name is Zabihullah, I am from Kotkai, South Waziristan, affiliated with the TTP's Hakimullah Mehsud and Qari Hussain factions." This is open source intel at best!!!!

Clarification: This is not a Shia vs. Sunni war. Iraq and Azerbaijan are Shia-majority countries that have stood against aspects of Iran’s IRGC activities, terrorism, and proxies. The conflict centers on opposition to the Iranian doctrine of Wilayat al-Faqih (Guardianship of the Islamic Jurist) and its expansion through proxies, rather than sectarian identity alone. Groups and ideologies such as militant jihadism (including Muslim Brotherhood, al-Qaeda and ISIS derivatives), the Taliban’s governance model, and others Zionism, Hinduvta are treated as separate threats by various actors. Birds of feather!
I would like to clarify that Saudi Arabia's war is not against any ethnic group. A lot of Houthis support the Saudi-led coalition and the Yemeni government but are against the so-called Ansarullah who abuse Allah's name. A better term is Fitn-e-Khawaraj-ul-Iran for the group which attacks Saudi Arabia.
My complete take on Saudi Arabia's startegy and what Pakistan & Turkiye is doing to take on Houthis and defend the Kingdom.
At the start of the Iran-US conflict, @hashurtag, @Ishtiqbhai, @HExtremous1, @RedMarkar, Prof. @ahmadishtiaq, @tariq_puma, and @ForumStrategic everyone of you pushed back hard against the Iranophile narrative that had hijacked Pakistani discourse (a term coined by @Shahab).We flipped the table enough that Iran’s proxy Marandi felt the impact. This protected Pakistan’s perception, thousands of jobs in Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and the wider Gulf, and the voices of millions who value those ties and were being silenced.Pakistani interests first.
My take on Houthis (Khawajis) attack on Mecca, Saudia Arabia and how Saudia Arabia is hitting and finishing the Iranian proxy in Yemen. Interception rates are over 98% in KSA.
Modi just got an AI hologram of Swami Chinmayananda (died 1993) to bless him and say “India is with you, Narendra” on stage. As a Pakistani, long may he stay India’s PM. A delusional narcissist who needs a dead saint’s AI to validate him is exactly the kind of rival we want. Nothing helps Pakistan’s relative status more.
Just as US signals of renewed strikes peak (Trump floating “another little Epic Fury” / possible action “tomorrow”), Iran’s President Pezeshkian says Field Marshal Asim Munir carried Tehran’s message for reconciliation and a deal to reopen the Strait of Hormuz. Classic good-cop (political side) / bad-cop (IRGC) routine. They look aligned buying time while hardliners dig in and demand US lift blockade, sanctions, and pressures first.

Prof Dr,”. @ahmadishtiaq Bhai on Iran’s strategic blunder and Saudi Arabia. Listen to this analysis
My latest interview with Saudi news channel Al Hadath:
"Iran has committed a strategic blunder by unleashing its last major proxy, the Houthis, against Saudi Arabia, which is a pillar of the Islam and a key Gulf and Arab nation.
"This desperate move, amid the US naval blockade, economic strangulation and growing regional isolation, has triggered a wider response under the Makkah Pact, involving Pakistan and Türkiye.
"Pakistan cannot compromise on Saudi Arabia, and it will go all the way to protect the Kingdom.
Thank you everyone!
Wonderful space by @hashurtag & @thewirepak @ahmadishtiaq nice to hear from our Saudi brothers @Saudfromabove @B1NWAL33D .
