I talk smack about the US a lot, but was recently told that when someone visited the US they were told not to leave their hotel at 6pm 😭... Like where in the US can you not leave the house after 6 unless you're smack in the middle of gang territory?? Seems just a tad exaggerated
Being tased by a police officer after coming out of seizure is so uniquely American. Police do not act like public servants here; they operate like a terrorist organziation where US citizens are considered the enemy. They should not be allowed near anyone with a medical condition
🚨 POLICE SERGEANT FIRED AFTER DEPLOYING TASER SEVEN TIMES ON MAN EXPERIENCING A MEDICAL EMERGENCY
A man was outside his OWN HOME putting up Halloween decorations when he suffered a seizure, collapsed in his yard, and needed emergency medical assistance.
What happened afterward has now resulted in a police sergeant losing his job.
On October 25, Dwight Jackson was decorating for Halloween in Chattahoochee, Florida, when he suddenly collapsed.
His brother, Caleb Johns, called for help. According to Johns, Jackson had been experiencing a seizure for approximately TEN MINUTES before EMS arrived.
Paramedics were already treating him when Sgt. Price of the Chattahoochee Police Department arrived.
According to Jackson’s brother, EMS personnel had been rendering aid for approximately 45 minutes when the officer intervened.
Johns described the officer pushing people aside and jumping on Jackson as he was beginning to regain awareness.
THE OFFICER DEPLOYED HIS TASER SEVEN TIMES.
Police Chief Michael Miller claims EMS requested assistance because they were having difficulty restraining a combative individual. He also claims Jackson physically resisted the officer and pulled on his body armor.
Jackson says he wasn’t intentionally combative. He was suffering a medical emergency.
And anyone familiar with seizures should understand that involuntary movements and post-seizure confusion can occur.
Jackson later described the experience as “more terrifying than war” because he was defenseless and had no idea what was coming.
But there are additional developments that I have discovered…
According to reporting on the police chief’s findings:
▪️ The officer reportedly FAILED TO RECORD the initial encounter and use of force on his body camera.
▪️ A supervisory review of available footage identified ANOTHER use-of-force incident while Jackson was being transferred into the police department.
▪️ Jackson reportedly suffered ANOTHER SEIZURE while at the police station, requiring EMS to be called again and resulting in his transportation to a hospital.
▪️ A separate recording captured Sgt. Price in a verbal confrontation with an EMS employee.
▪️ Jackson says he was never formally booked into jail and was eventually released.
On October 28, Police Chief Michael Miller announced that Sgt. Price had been TERMINATED following the department’s review.
Jackson is now considering legal action.
So much manufactured outrage for views. It's exhausting... before trusting random posts and even social media comment sections, just talk to real people first.

BREAKING: Finnish police have now launched a criminal investigation into Google's alleged environmental destruction of 250,000 trees at the construction site of the company's planned data center in Finland.
Replying to @Google
@Google illegally chopped up a quarter-million trees to make way for a data center. 💢

A MAGA supporter (who btw refuses to acknowledge they are MAGA) told me that Trump was chosen by god. That's when their support went from being a joke to downright scary.
Reminder: conspiracy theorist Alex Jones was a major driving force behind the rise of MAGA and Trump.

MAGA supporters genuinely believe Trump’s a prophet of god. They’ve been brainwashed. It is in fact a cult.

I did not and would never consent to this administration running my fanart through AI and posting it. Can’t even believe I’m saying these words.

cardi choosing local beauty supply stores over sephora and ulta to house her haircare line is community economics.
The way I feel SO strongly about not rewarding a child's bad behavior. If expectations have been made clear to the children, there should be no crying when they don't meet them, and no bullying from parents. The uneaten cupcakes can be given back to the bday kid's parents eod.

He’s my pick for senate majority leader right now. This is the attitude we need facing Trump going forward, not sending strongly worded letters to a president who is functionally illiterate.

Rumors that chili maker Lao Gan Ma laid off 500+ workers due to AI have gone viral in China.
Beneath Beijing’s positive messaging, many ordinary Chinese people are worried about AI and jobs.
Lao Gan Ma recently touted a new AI-powered chili inspection system that uses high-speed industrial cameras that significantly outperform manual inspection.
A stat about the company using this AI system to reduce human inspectors from 600 to 48 went viral on Chinese social media. The iconic, family-run company pushed back.
But if you look at the data, the company has reduced headcount from 2,912 to 740 in the past few years while earning record revenues.

I finally saw it for the first time.
I went out in the morning and saw an elderly woman--instead of doing taichi around the pond, or just walking around/chatting with friends as is usual this time of day--she was just standing--very still, and swiping videos on her phone.
A reminder that bots now outnumber real people on the internet.
The fake account/spam issue in X is really getting out of control: those are the biggest accounts that reposted the post below... All sex accounts (when my post has nothing to do with it) with hundreds of thousands of followers and zero posting history.
I don't know why they're reposting me, what the angle is, but definitely coordinated and very fishy.
