starting to think that spending approximately 1,000 hours of the past year reading posts on this site was not actually a good use of time
probably the AI industry should figure out how they comprehensively botched their public messaging and then figure out how to fix that if they don't want widespread opposition from the general public? idk just spitballing here
the meme starting at "permanent underclass" instead of "four day work week" might have killed this thing. or maybe it's recoverable, we'll see, but it's gonna be an uphill fight
yeah yeah blue wave it's great love it whatever. when are they gonna call the LA mayor race, I want to see Bass lose
people are starting to learn the difference between pressing the big "purchase order" button and actually building the fucking thing
Supermicro delivery dates are smoke and mirrors right now.
March for Vera Rubin. Then NVIDIA walks into the room and says June/July at the earliest.
Word is SMCI has maxed its NVIDIA credit line and is courting Cisco to borrow against theirs just to pull timelines in.
If you have ‘27 capacity riding on an SMCI slot, assume it slips.
Whose NVIDIA credit line fills up next? Is Gigabyte’s 8 to 12 weeks still real?
lmao who among us hasn't blown $60B on some shit that didn't work out
We identified a security incident affecting a modified Claude Code VS Code extension accessed through our Cursor IDE extension marketplace, impacting at most 5,000 users. This malicious version of the extension was not developed by Anthropic. It does not impact other extensions downloaded from the cursor.com/marketplace, Grok Bot, Grok or our other SpaceXSI products.
In response, we took down our extension marketplace this afternoon, worked with relevant providers to neutralize the malware, and have reinstated the marketplace after confirming there is no further risk.
If affected, please review instructions in this blog post to understand how to find the malicious package and establish a path to mitigate any potential impact. We are asking all customers update to Claude Code for VS Code version 2.1.314: cursor.com/blog/claude-code-…
errybody want to try CNC until they realize you gotta learn CAD instead of just turning on the lathe and winging it
the internet is dead. the internet remains dead and we have killed it.
how shall we comfort ourselves? who will wipe this blood off us, what festivals of atonement shall we have to invent?
grok bot got me 1.5M impressions in 7 days.
i didn't hire anyone. i set up a grok bot on @bot and gave it a title: chief marketing officer. (CMO for short)
it doesn't post for me. i still press every button, but it does basically everything else.
that week it helped me land two viral posts back to back.
then it noticed my posts about my grok bots were pulling in more verified followers than anything else. so we leaned in.
wednesday i had ~1,954 verified followers.
saturday i passed 2,000 and unlocked subscriptions.
here's what it actually does every week:
- drafts my posts in my voice (rough, lowercase, like this)
- studies other creators in my space to see what's working
- keeps a content calendar of notable dates each month
- logs every post in notion and scores it against my median
- tells me when a post is still hot so i don't step on it
- sends me a weekly report on what worked and what flopped
it's not magic. some drafts are meh and i tell it so.
i just press the button.
the car with the rocket engines is cool, yes, and also pointless the same way every supercar is pointless. it feels like a missed opportunity
they should have made a mass market sports car instead, in the same market as the Mazda Miata or Nissan Z, that normal people can buy
the first Tesla Roadster had to be expensive because the company was too small to make something affordable, but that isn't the case today; they could churn out a two-seat drop top electric roadster for the price of a Model 3 if they wanted
actual local model perverts are spending the cost of a new Toyota Corolla on ten year old data center GPUs that would be recycled as e-waste if there wasn't a shortage right now
but in Anthropic's fantasy world, open models can run on your toaster, so they must be banned now!
