So finally I am able to put up an overview of P&l and some KPI for the period FY 2019/20-2024/25 exclusively based on the actual published accounts for FC BAYERN GROUP, AG and ALLIANZ ARENA. Other detailed figures were sourced from official publications from UEFA, FIFA and DFL. Projections for FY 2025/26 are based on published figures, public statements and comments from club sources and best effort estimates. broadcasting will be overall lower, although income from CL and Pokal competitions increased, income from DFL expected to be significant lower and obviously income from CWC was completely accounted for in 24/25). Commercial income should increase based on reports about renewed and new sponsorship deals, as well as continued excellent merchandising activities. Transfer income and profit calculations are based on reports from reliable sources and best effort estimates (salaries). After careful examination and consideration it seems reasonable to assume that squad cost (wages and amortisation) were slightly reduced in 25/26. Agent fees expected to be unchanged. Transfer net debt reversed into a slight surplus and expected to stay again in balance for the foreseeable future. Transfer net spending also reversed into a small surplus, after some years of heavy over spending. Transfer net profit remains stable, and continues to be necessary to cover the structural deficit in EBIT. Cash position should recover and is projected to increase to abt €200 Mio again. So overall FC Bayern remains profitable, for over 30y, and thus continues to increase its Equity without and capital requirements from third party investors. Outlook for 26/27 to follow in this thread.

Brillant Podcast Watch it to understand why debt in football is a killer (as long it’s not explicitly allocated for a feasible stadium project generating significant higher net revenues).
Manchester United… - still a billion in debt - a billion in interest paid on that debt - £1.7bn spent in 10 years for 1 top signing - £2bn stadium build (min) required That’s a lot of billions…all in the wrong place. So how did it get this bad? And what needs to happen to sort it out? We welcomed the oracle on this matter @thePoS_007 into the studio to get to the bottom of this chaos 👹 @bizzofsport Full show👇

Gute und richtige Analyse bzw. Schlussfolgerung. Erstaunlich
#Sportfive

Doubt that the base fixed salary will be much higher than previously. But it seems very reasonable to assume that the various bonuses subject to individual and team performances very either increased or easier achievable. And the biggest part will be concessions in image rights or compensation for use of image rights by Bayern (similar to Musiala). Those are very complex and complicated contractual arrangements as they involve club sponsors as well, and related clauses which have to be drafted and reviewed by various lawyers reporting their respective parties. As per UEFA FSR rules those are treated as salary income by definition.
Harry Kane's contract does not include an option to extend it until 2030. In return, Bayern made concessions to the striker in other areas, including his salary and image rights. Kane will earn a club record salary of more than the previous €25m per year. CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen held eight rounds of negotiations with Kane's father, Patrick, and his brother, Charlie, starting in the summer. Just as he did when Kane joined the club in 2023, Dreesen was the driving force who ultimately got the deal over the line [@_kochmaximilian]

Will be interesting to see if the new owners are acting by and large as the present owners, bar the last transfer windows. FSG had been a great owner
The consortium buying into Liverpool has at least two options to increase its stake once it has been ratified as a part-owner by the Independent Football Regulator. Initially, Jeff Bezos’ K5 Global sports fund will be the largest investor in 1892 Holdings. The Athletic can now reveal that the agreement has a structure that could lead to 1892 Holdings taking control of Liverpool by increasing its claim to around 69 per cent, or potentially even complete a 100 per cent buyout. You want to understand how Bayern works and functions? Listen and read carefully!

Very very important extension with an incredibly important player in all regards especially for sporting success. Congratulations for the contract extension with Harry Kane after the other important ones with Kimmich Neuer Musiala Davies Upamecano Laimer. Now Olise and Pavlovic. Financial aspect. Bayern are eligible to reduce the remaining amortisation charge of abt €25mio to €8,33mio pa 26/27-28/29. In other words the P&L 26/27 improved by €16,66mio. According to my assumptions, in theory, Bayern have the capacity to add abt €25-30mio cost to the P&L during the January transfer window and would still be break even in 26/27.

Very interesting podcast. Again in was outlined in detail why ManUnited is stuck in the mud. Ratcliffe had to buy the Glazers out and to clear the debt for the going concern. Will or can he do it now when INEOS are under tremendous pressure themselves? Ironically I just listened to this older episodes of other podcasts with Peter Kenyon who was ex CEO both of ManUnited and Chelsea who talks exactly about the problems having owners with tight purses, with limited or low knowledge and passion, or who intend to flip a club after some years. Bayern fans should be happy with their leadership who were running the club the last 30 years. Hoeneß Scherer Hopfner Beckenbauer Rummenigge Hainer Dreesen. Future guys buy into this philosophy of leader and custodianship or leave it. youtu.be/ep8G-pElj0Q?si=zd0_… youtu.be/_ySLtW_i3I0?si=QAeu…

Hear hear “I’ve seen too many of these ‘next Messis’ chase the bright lights and end up nowhere. The lad’s got talent, no one’s denying that, but talent without a bit of patience and a bit of humility doesn’t get you very far in this game. in a couple of years he might be wondering why he didn’t just keep his head down at Manchester United.”
🚨🗣️| Nicky Butt reacts to JJ Gabriel potentially signing for Real Madrid “Look, I’ve been around the game long enough to know when a young lad’s getting carried away with himself, and this JJ Gabriel business is a classic case of it.” “Sixteen years of age, still wet behind the ears, and he’s already decided Manchester United ain’t good enough for him. They had him training with the first team, they were ready to throw him on in the Carabao Cup, they treated him like the golden boy because everyone could see the talent, and what does he do? He downs tools, stops training, and tells them he wants out because the pathway isn’t clear enough. Pathway? At sixteen? Come on, be serious.” “Now he’s off to Real Madrid, and I don’t care what anyone says about Castilla and development plans — that place is already stacked with wingers. Vinicius, Mbappé, Rodrygo, that young Diomande lad who’s already getting minutes, Endrick, Brahim… the list goes on.” “He’s not walking into that dressing room and demanding a place. He’s walking into a queue that stretches all the way back to the academy. They’ll park him in the B team, tell him he’s the future, and then when the next big signing arrives he’ll be further down the pecking order than he ever was at Old Trafford.” “And the worst part is, United have got kids of their own coming through who actually want to be there. This sends the wrong message to every single one of them. You don’t get special treatment and then spit it back in the club’s face because someone in Spain’s whispering in your ear.” “I’ve seen too many of these ‘next Messis’ chase the bright lights and end up nowhere. The lad’s got talent, no one’s denying that, but talent without a bit of patience and a bit of humility doesn’t get you very far in this game. in a couple of years he might be wondering why he didn’t just keep his head down at Manchester United.”
