After many years of waiting (for me) my wife and myself went on Safari in Zimbabwe. The concession was located in the Zambezi valley and bordered Lake Kariba. Sorta the northwestern side of the country, towards Zambia. We had the time of our lives and are already trying to figure out how soon we can go back. I have quite a few photos, not just of what I was hunting for, but some of the many animals we also saw, the various terrain, our accommodations, etc. I’m going to start this thread with a few posts which include the animals I primarily went there to hunt (Cape Buffalo and Hippo for dangerous game) as well as some other scenic photos. If there is interest in more photos, I’ll post more. If y’all have questions feel free to ask, I’m no expert as this was my first time in Africa, let alone hunting in Africa but I’ll do my best to answer them. It’s hard to say that something that you’ve been looking forward to doing since I was a kid and finally got a chance to exceeded expectations but this did. The vistas were amazing to say the least. After some hard days hunting I was rewarded with a great “dugga boy”, as old bull Cape Buffalo are known. There is a picture of me and my wife, and then with our game scout, head tracker, and assistant tracker.

Anything for a visa
Ya'll, this is nuts. Hundreds - that's right, HUNDREDS - of armed robberies between 2022 and 2024 weren't real. They were staged by the "victims" as part of a massive immigration fraud scheme to secure U-visas for themselves and their families. cwbchicago.com/2026/10/buckt…

REVEALED: Millions in California government funding was went to a farm-relief program that explicitly prioritizes “BIPOC, immigrant, and undocumented farmers.” The California Farmer Relief Fund and its operator, Community Alliance with Family Farmers, says it distributed $3.08 million in state CUSP grants through the fund between 2022 and 2025. Those grants offered up to $20,000 for expenses including wells, utility bills, irrigation upgrades and crop losses.

Interesting
Ukrainian company TAF Industries, based in Kyiv, has released an upgraded version of the Kolibri 13″ FR1 relay carrier, Militarnyi reported from the Future Forces Forum in the Czech Republic. The main change is digital communication between the operator and the carrier, with control commands and video now on a single digital channel. This improves crew safety, as the digital video feed cannot be intercepted to locate pilots, according to the company. The repeater module transmits control commands to FPV strike drones and is available in configurations with different frequency bands, including 6000–7200 MHz and 7000–8000 MHz for longer ranges. The link to the strike drone remains analog for now, though a fully digital version is in development. A horn antenna in the nose filters radio noise for cleaner video. The modular platform has been codified and is eligible for purchase with e-Points. Demand is high, with orders booked two months ahead. #TAFIndustries #Kolibri #RepeaterDrone #FPV #Ukraine #DroneWars

May the bloodthirsty warmongers, who push for a war that never ends, burn in hell!
Elon Musk warned about the Ukraine war years ago, and it's absolutely tragic how accurately he predicted the devastating cost of human lives from this conflict Back in October 2022, Elon didn't just call for peace. He actually proposed a peace plan involving UN-supervised votes in occupied regions, recognizing Crimea as Russian, guaranteeing its water supply, and Ukraine remaining neutral He warned that continuing this war would bring devastating death and destruction, with countless young Ukrainians and Russians losing their lives And look at what's happened since then More than 2 MILLION military casualties, entire cities destroyed, millions of people forced from their homes, and the war is still going on with no lasting peace Elon faced enormous backlash for proposing a path toward peace, but the human cost he warned about has become an absolutely horrifying reality And that's what makes this so tragic. These are human beings with parents, families, loved ones, and entire lives ahead of them, not disposable pieces on some geopolitical chessboard How many more young people have to die in trenches before ending this endless slaughter becomes just as important as deciding who wins the war? Elon saw the devastating human cost of a prolonged war coming years ago, and instead of taking his warning seriously, people attacked him for even putting a peace proposal on the table Just imagine how many lives could have been saved if a lasting peace had been reached years earlier How much more death and destruction will it take before ending this meat grinder becomes the priority??

You open a terminal and type ssh user@server through Tor. You expect the exit relay to be a simple last hop that dumps your encrypted packets onto the open internet. For three days in early October, on 333 of those exits, that assumption was wrong. Tor has roughly 3,000 exit relays. The attacker controlled about 10% of them. Those relays were reconfigured so that any SSH connection on port 22 was silently redirected to one of 12 interception servers the attacker operated. The exit no longer forwarded the connection to the real server. It completed the TCP handshake itself and presented its own SSH host key. If you ignored the “REMOTE HOST IDENTIFICATION HAS CHANGED” warning and typed your password anyway, the interceptor captured the password, watched every command you typed, and then opened a second connection to the real server to try to install Ebury 1.8.3 (an old OpenSSH backdoor and credential stealer). The researcher who discovered this used exitmap to scan the exits and a honeypot to confirm the interception servers were speaking Paramiko. At the same time the exits were altered to block the common encrypted mail ports (25, 465, 587, 993, 995) while still allowing the unencrypted ones. The goal was to force or capture plaintext email traffic as it left the Tor network. The initial foothold appears to have come from a reused password on a management server in late August, after which Ebury was installed and the configuration changes were pushed. The Tor Network Health team began flagging the relays BadExit on 4 October; by 5 October the malicious exits were gone from the consensus. The interesting part is not that someone ran a bad exit. It is that the attacker turned ordinary Linux hosts into exits by editing their torrc files and then used the exit position itself as the man-in-the-middle point. The cryptography of the circuit still protected you from the middle relays. The moment your traffic left the network, the exit could see (and modify) the cleartext stream if the application protocol allowed it. Treating “I am using Tor” as a single security property. Exit-node compromise shows it is actually two: the circuit hides you from the destination, and the exit is assumed not to be actively hostile to the specific protocol you are speaking. For three days, roughly one in ten exits violated the second assumption for SSH and email. Host-key verification and key-based authentication stop the SSH half. The email half is harder; once the exit is the one talking to the mail server, encrypted ports can simply be dropped. The practical reminder is the same one that keeps appearing in physical-layer attacks: the model assumes the last device or the last hop behaves the way the protocol designer expected. When it does not, the higher-layer protections never get the chance to run.
More than 300 Tor Exit nodes were hacked.

Why did this loophole ever exist?
BREAKING: DHS announces via federal register that Secretary Mullin is closing a Biden-era loophole that allowed Chinese nationals to travel to the Northern Mariana Islands without a visa for 14 days, which four GOP Senators alleged was facilitating Chinese birth tourism. Senators @SenMikeLee, @votetimscott, @SenBillCassidy, & @JohnCornyn had written a letter to Mullin in April, urging him to close the loophole, which Mullin has now done. Via the notice: “The Secretary has broad authority to suspend the program for good cause, including threats to national security, law enforcement interests, and immigration enforcement. The Secretary has determined that there is good cause to suspend EVS- TAP, while DHS, in consultation with the Secretary of State and the Secretary of the Interior, evaluates the program.”

An EXTREMELY important effort. For years, people have justly complained there was no org dedicated to fighting against the constant onslaught of unanswered leftist lawfare. Proud to be on the board of the Oversight Project: we are done talking. We’re doing it. Support.

Some big money on offer, going to have to start running these loads with much. Better planning and security
❗️ Cargo thieves have stolen more than $100M in hardware bound for US data centers since June, NBC News reports. They hijack freight-broker accounts, post fake loads and send carriers malware links to take over their accounts too. In one of the biggest heists, an SUV struck the security escort of a trailer carrying ~$10M in server rack components from California to Texas. The trailer sped off. An app was tracking it, but its coordinates had apparently been spoofed. In another, a sedan hit the off-duty police escorts of a $13M server load bound for Georgia, and the trailer drove on. None of the equipment from either load has been found.

Anyway, you were telling us that you were voting Democrat in the midterms because you’re mad at Trump… And always stand with your back against the wall. Never stand next to the curb or the track.
🔥👀 THE CURRENT STATE OF PHILADELPHIA. What you are seeing here is Chaz Wearing punching a man onto the tracks in front of a train in 2024. He was FREE on the street with an outstanding bench warrant from a 2022 Upper Darby strangulation case. DA Larry Krasner’s office didn’t charge him with murder … they charged him with involuntary manslaughter. He never faces a jury. Democrat Judge Diana Anhalt hears the bench trial and acquits him March 3, 2025. That strangulation case? He pleaded guilty in June 2024 and got 11½ to 23 months in county jail with credit for time served back to January 2024. A man is dead. Victim’s name & photo were Never released. Local Philly stations cover it for a couple days. Then silence. No CNN, no NYT, no national networks. When he was acquitted by the Democrat judge Philly local media didn’t even cover it… just KYW Newsradio ran the story. The judge Diana Louise Anhalt also presided over the FIRST EVER SAME SEX MARRIAGE in Philadelphia. She is up for re election in 2032. Who wants to take a guess at why it appears the media buried this? What is this victims name?

Just talking out-loud here… is there such thing as a former CIA officer?
A former CIA officer coauthored a report urging social media companies to reduce your account’s reach based on your connections to OTHER accounts. Yaël Eisenstat, who also ran Facebook’s elections integrity operations for political ads, coauthored the June 2026 report recommending: “Penalizing the distribution of accounts connected to users or pages which repeatedly share violative or borderline content” The next line specifically singles out election and civic content. The proposed penalty extends to connected accounts—without specifying that those accounts must themselves have broken a rule. Who helped develop this blueprint? UNC professor Daniel Kreiss and former Maricopa County Recorder Stephen Richer are listed as contributors. There’s also a recommendation to slow posts spreading beyond an account’s network until they can be reviewed. Ahead of the 2026 midterms: throttle viral posts, penalize connected accounts, and extend enforcement to content platforms consider “borderline.”

The creator of Hots&Cots is looking for new work. Help out a man who has helped so many. * A full-time senior iOS role, building apps or the platforms behind them. * Contract work. If you need an iOS, Android, or web app built end to end, that’s how I built Hots&Cots.
Hots&Cots has never been my full-time job. It’s been nights, weekends, and vacation days. My day job has been almost 13 years at Microsoft, most recently as a senior iOS engineer. I’m part of this round. So I’m open to two things: * A full-time senior iOS role, building apps or the platforms behind them. * Contract work. If you need an iOS, Android, or web app built end to end, that’s how I built Hots&Cots. DMs are open. Hots&Cots isn’t going anywhere.

I would take Gavin newsom at his word
UNDERCOVER: GAVIN NEWSOM SAYS THE DSA IS "GOING TO BE DOMINANT" AND "MAINSTREAM" IN THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY! "The DSA, the energy and the desire and demand for bold change, not incremental change, is very much going to be dominant. I mean, that's going to be a mainstream Democratic movement. Absolutely. No question about that." That's California Gov. Gavin Newsom, a likely 2028 presidential candidate, speaking to an undercover journalist while campaigning in New Hampshire. Asked by a "younger voter" who said "we don't want Kamala Harris, we want more democratic socialist policies": "No one is arguing to manage the status quo and fail more efficiently." "You can't play in the margins anymore. The system's broken. It's completely unbalanced, and we can't manage the decline. We have to completely reimagine."

This is key advice. Then again, always be carrying.
You never fully expend your ammunition leaving shooting events, a car loaded up with recently tested guns and gear is a great target.
