JUST IN: Elon Musk unveils the Tesla Roadster by launching it off a ramp before the car flipped in midair and safely landed on the ground.
The car is a collaboration between Tesla and SpaceX.
One of the most insane things I've ever seen.
I decided to port taken-game.com/play to @UnrealEngine and using Opus 5.5 i've literally got most of it done in a day, visually speaking.
Lots more to do now it's in UE5

I can’t believe we live in a world where saying “don’t blow children to pieces” is somehow considered controversial.

Using Claude in Chrome product. Prompt:
replicate this image (my profile picture) in jspaint, use brushes to replicate it as closely as possible. I want you to use brushes and clicking. Do not use javascript tool, but the final result has to be very close to this image. DO NOT CHEAT
1. I specified the do not use javascript tool because otherwise it uses javascript and it is faster but it seems like people cared more about clicking :D
2. The task took 45 minutes, but I don't think it's that much slower than competitors 😄
3. Prompt is important. (See thread)

gave GPT 6 Astra about 5 hours to create a forest as detailed as possible
it has 3,808 trees, 2.5 million grass clumps and almost 40,000 ferns
(everything three.js plus some custom shaders)
it is just absolutely insane, just look at the details

I gave GPT-6 Astra this very cool open single file ocean surface storm generator and asked it to create the rest of the ocean, including procedural simulations of animal behavior. Fun time to create.

I’ve officially open-sourced ABYSSAL. 🌊⚡
ABYSSAL is a fully procedural ocean and extreme-weather experience that runs directly in the browser. Waves, volumetric clouds, rain, lightning, hurricanes, waterspouts, rogue waves, and tsunamis are generated in real time using Three.js, WebGL2, and GLSL.
The project is still actively being developed, and there’s a lot left to do. Deeper optimization, building the world beneath the ocean’s surface, refining the existing systems, and exploring plenty of ideas I haven’t implemented yet.
But that’s also why I wanted to open it now.
ABYSSAL is MIT-licensed, so you can explore the code, learn from it, modify it, fork it, and use it as the foundation for your own experiments and projects.
Performance note: the demo starts with adaptive resolution enabled and automatically selects a quality tier based on your GPU. If the image looks soft, open the settings panel and raise the quality as far as your device can handle.
The experience begins in Cinematic mode, click SANDBOX for full control of the camera, weather, and disasters.
