Poundland the high street chain is now on the verge of collapse with the risk of 12000 jobs at risk. Well done Labour

My message to @andyburnham is simple. The winners of todays budget is the HMRC, asylum seekers, Ukraine and this government! The losers again are the working class people.

What sort of country gives loads of its people's money to other countries, then pleads poverty to its people and taxes them into oblivion?
This one 🇬🇧

Nothing highlights the fiscal failure of this government more starkly than the plight of Poundland. The chain's 600 stores and 12,000 workers sit on the verge of collapse, not because its customers have walked away - Poundland's sales grew by 6.7% in September - but because of this government's unaffordable tax rises, which makes it impossible to run a business that works on slim profit margins to keep its prices down for its customers. How ironic that a government preaching about helping the least well-off is forcing a company out of business that does just that.

Look at this, stashed away on page 118 of the budget...
The Government is implementing visa salary requirement changes from spring 2027 that will reduce 'occupation-specific minimum salary thresholds from the median to the 25th percentile of wages'.
In short, making it FAR easier for firms to hire migrants.
Why are they lowering barriers to overseas workers instead of training British men and women?
British people do not want more immigration.
At all.

Hidden away on page 111 of the Budget - 'The government is providing £150 million capital investment in 2027-28 to fund additional large sites to accommodate asylum seekers'
A treasonous decision.
Every penny of that should be directed towards a programme of mass deportations.
We pay, and yet they still come!🧐🤡
My views on intentional spending are well known and long established.
International development spending makes people ‘over there’ safer and more prosperous.
That, in turn, means that problems from ‘over there’ don’t come ‘over here’.
It is the other side of the coin from defence. It’s about our national security and it’s spent in our national interest.

Tax payers are being rinsed, jobs will go, what’s left of the economy will shrink further. The benefits bill goes unchallenged and our nation goes undefended. The budget is window dressing for the stupid.
