Technical advisory for users who created affected coldcard-only or coldcard-majority multisigs, who may be affected by the ongoing attack. Please do your own research on this. If you have a multisig of all Coldcards running Mk3 firmware 4.0.1 or later, or where the threshold amount of signer are compromised (e.g. two of the three in a 2 of 3), you need to be very careful about what comes next. If every cosigner came from an affected device (i.e. all Coldcard Mk3 4.0.1), a single past spend is enough to undo you. That means you should consider immediately moving your funds to a safer setup, because you're in a race against the clock with the attacker. If at least one of your seeds came from a healthy device, you are in much better shape, because the attacker can only use your prior spends and can only touch addresses that have been revealed in those spends. If you have never spent at all, or if you spent but the entirety of your funds moved and the change landed in a fresh address, stay calm and act in a measured fashion. The attacker cannot compute the addresses your funds are sitting at now without the healthy public key. Don't panic. If you move your funds now and publish the transaction the normal way, it sits in the public mempool first, where it hands over the public keys the attacker is missing. They can then copy it, pay a higher fee, and have theirs mined instead of yours. If you panic, you feed into their attack. So do it in the right order. Build and test the new wallet first. Then consider sweeping everything in a single transaction, so there is one moment of exposure rather than several. Ideally, do this using a direct submission service that keeps the transaction out of the public mempool, such as slipstream.mara.com. Nobody has seen the attack run against a multisig yet. But given that this attacker drained 500 wallets in three blocks, it's clear that they have prepared and practiced ahead of time. This could be the next wave.

Bitcoin is Freedom I spent the last few weeks in my motherland, Vietnam. The country has transformed since my family escaped in 1978. It is more prosperous, energetic, and ambitious than the Vietnam I left behind. A young population, rising investment, and global aspiration have created extraordinary momentum. And yet one thing remains clear. For many in Vietnam, the ultimate dream is still America. And if they cannot make it to America, they want to wear American brands, eat American food, listen to American music, and exude American confidence. My trip to Vietnam reminded me of this, and the World Cup has made it visible on a global stage. America remains not only a country people admire, but a place people still want to reach, represent, and belong to. The United States remains the land of the free, the Wild Wild West, and the home of the American Dream. Walmart and Waffle House. Boston and Austin. Silicon Valley and Wall Street. A country where people can still rise from welfare to extraordinary success through hard work, ingenuity, risk taking, and some luck. My family experienced that promise directly. We arrived in America as refugees, sponsored by a Catholic church in Syracuse, New York. We received public assistance, food stamps, and free school lunches. My father worked three jobs. We lived frugally and dealt with poverty and racism. America was not easy, but it was open. It gave us a system where effort, education, entrepreneurship, and perseverance could compound. This is America. The world still aspires to be like us. What has made America successful over the last 250 years is not accidental. It is a principled Constitution, geographic scale, abundant resources, and a culture of liberty, capitalism, entrepreneurship, and reinvention. Other nations try to replicate the recipe, but often waver. Interventionism, bureaucracy, corruption, and ego get in the way. Which brings me to Bitcoin. Bitcoin is the United States of money. It aspires to do for money what the American Constitution aspired to do for government: create a system governed by transparent rules rather than the discretion of individuals. Built on a principled white paper, digitally enforced scarcity, and proof of work, Bitcoin is digital capital governed by code, energy, and consensus. But beyond that, Bitcoin is hope. It provides hope for those who have worked hard for their money and want to protect it from monetary inflation. It provides hope for those born in countries without reliable rule of law or economic freedoms. It provides hope for anyone seeking protection, opportunity, and a form of property that does not depend on geography, politics, or permission. I was born in the year of America’s bicentennial. Fifty years later, the future of American dominance is being questioned. I have no question. The United States of America is the greatest country in the world. My life is proof of what America makes possible. I left Vietnam as a refugee, grew up poor in America, built a career through education and hard work, and now have a wonderful wife and three children. That is the American Dream to me. It is not just wealth. It is freedom, family, opportunity, and the ability to determine your own future. That is also why Bitcoin resonated with me. I found Bitcoin because it reflected the same principles that shaped my life: clear rules, individual sovereignty, property rights, resilience, open competition, and long-term conviction. America gave my family freedom through a country. Bitcoin offers individuals monetary freedom through a network. One opened the door for me. The other opens a door for anyone, anywhere, to protect the fruits of their labor. That is why Bitcoin is freedom.

SpaceX is the most overhyped IPO of the decade and it will end exactly the way every overhyped IPO ends. Facebook IPO’d at $38 and traded under that for 15 months. Uber IPO’d at $45 and is still below that adjusted seven years later for a while. WeWork tried at $47 billion and ended at zero. Robinhood IPO’d at $38, hit $85, then $7. Coinbase IPO’d at $381 and was at $40 two years later. Rivian IPO’d at a $100 billion valuation with no meaningful revenue and gave back 90%. Beyond Meat. Peloton. Lyft. DoorDash. Bird. Each one a “generational company” the day it priced. Each one a wealth destruction event for retail within 18 months. The pattern is not a coincidence. Hype IPOs are designed to transfer wealth from the people buying the story to the people who built the story. The bankers get paid. The early employees get out. The VCs get a markup they can show their LPs. The retail investor gets the bag. SpaceX is a great company. That has nothing to do with whether it’s a great stock at IPO. Greatness was already priced in five funding rounds ago. You are not getting in early. You are buying the exit. The only IPO worth chasing is the one nobody is talking about. Those don’t exist anymore because every IPO is marketed like a movie release. So the answer is: don’t chase. Wait two years. Buy it down 70% when the lockup unwinds and the narrative breaks. Or don’t buy it at all and put the money somewhere the bankers haven’t already extracted the alpha. Hype is not an asset class. It’s a tax.

One of the world's most respected LGFTE (Landfill Gas To Energy) specialists with 20+ years and 100+ landfill project experience just said that Bitcoin mining is the only profitable solution for mitigating half the world's landfill methane emissions. Probably nothing

I don't typically wade into politics, it's not my thing, but I do think war is something that deserves to be treated with the weight it carries. That's not a partisan statement, it's a human one. I don't believe our founding fathers would have approved of treating war and death like a video game. ❤️

Cultures have many differing views of morality, but all around the world and for thousands of years, being truthful is arguably the most common one. A culture cannot long persist on falsities. On open lying. This cycle ends only when truth becomes principal currency again.

Ok, enough… Stop freaking out. Bitcoin is without doubt the best asset that money can buy. Real estate? Liquidity trap with huge bid offer spread, and ongoing bleed through maintenance and taxes. Gold? Absolutely impossible to trade efficiently in the actual asset - get robbed everywhere: transportation, smelting, and broker fees enormous. Plus completely impractical to carry around. Equities? A crap shoot. If you can invest in good allocators then sure, but unless you are a great trader then buy an index fund and underperform the real rate of debasement. Bonds? Joke Venture? Be lucky Lottery? At least you’re honest at this point. Just buy bitcoin. It’s 10x better than gold, but trades at a 95% discount to gold. Be grateful that you discovered it early and stop moaning that it’s so cheap!

Bitcoin is up 2,653% in Iranian Rials because the currency is collapsing. Iranians who held bitcoin preserved their wealth. Iranians who trusted their currency lost 96%. Everyone deserves money their government can't destroy.

I’m old enough to remember when Bitcoin brutally crashed from $30 to $2. Zero serious holders. Zero public companies. Zero nation states. It was just an experiment. It could have gone to zero easily. But it didn’t. $126k to $86k drop with all that in place? Bullish.
