The strength of The Ape Society has always been its community.
Once an Ape, always an Ape. 🫡

Once, the apes had no names...
Then one spoke his own: Giambuono de' Medici. And with a name came a Society.
35 families. 35 Kings. One long winter. And a final home.
The story of The Ape Society, told as it deserves to be.
This is our chronicle. 🕯️👑

Ethereum NFT collectors, meet The Ape Society 👀
7,000 Apes across 35 families. A “pyramid” is a collector’s set with one Ape from every family.
Here’s my Edward de’ Medici pyramid: 35 characters, 35 families, one glimpse of the whole Society. 👑🐒

Four years ago today, @the_ape_society reached the 10,000 ADA floor milestone.
$14 million in total historical sales volume during its peak growth period, not been tracked by @opensea since they don't cover Cardano.
Apes always remember.

I’m sick to my stomach.
@upgrade_daily asked for an @the_ape_society nft and because I am generous and saw that his wife was really working hard and doing a lot of work for social engagements, far more than he was, I decided to gift both he and his wife an ape. Within hours, she had listed hers and he had accepted a collection offer.
Bro, if you and your wife were so destitute that you needed handouts, I would have just given you cash.
But instead, you looked a gift horse in the mouth and damaged a project I care more about than my own financial well being. You didn’t hurt me; you hurt those I care about.
Honestly, if you’re that poor, just dm me and I could have helped you. But you deceived me and hurt others in the process. That sort of behavior is born of a mindset that probably caused you to be poor in the first place.
Congrats on your $190 sale, your collection offer acceptance…holy shit you’re such a micropenis.

Why did this NFT just sell for $1000?!?!? Who is @the_ape_society and why is their art so fire?

I get regular DM’s from fellow NFT community members asking:
WHY I'M BULLISH ON THE APE SOCIETY ($TAS)
So I have pulled together some info I think many people new to TAS on Ethereum don't realise…
TAS might be NEW to Ethereum L1, but the TEAM is certainly NOT new to crypto or NFTs!
Before Ethereum, The Ape Society was one of the biggest and most ambitious NFT projects on Cardano.
And unlike projects that promise the world but deliver very little, this team has a HISTORY of actually BUILDING!
Just look at what they created:
🏡 10,000 Cabins & Land — Virtual property across 35 districts
🔨 Crafting & Furniture — Customise your cabin with crafted items, decorations and accessories
🏛️ The City & Marketplace — A community economy built around trading and utility
🪙 $SOCIETY Token — Rewards, ecosystem utility and incentives
🪪 Citizen Passports — Customisable Web3 identities
🏦 Levvy Finance — NFT-backed lending
⚙️ The Factory — Supporting Web3 innovation and creators
🌊 The Plunge — A community staking experience
And there were even bigger ambitions, including an Amphitheatre, Pyramids and additional landmarks.
Although these historical utilities aren't automatically part of the new Ethereum collection, but that's precisely why I'm paying attention.
This isn't a team starting from ZERO.
They've already demonstrated creativity, technical capability, ambition and an ability to build an ecosystem around NFT ownership.
Now imagine what that experience, combined with Ethereum's much larger NFT audience, could unlock.
👑 7,000 Apes
🏰 35 Families
⚔️ 7 Classes
🔥 A fresh start on Ethereum L1
Could TAS become the next BIG thing in NFTs?
Nobody knows. Success isn't guaranteed, and past achievements don't guarantee future delivery.
But personally, I'd rather back a team with a track record of building than one selling nothing but promises.
That's why I'm BULLISH on TAS.
The past shows what they're capable of.
Now I'm excited to see what they build NEXT!

More is always great but the QUALITY of people in the community… that is what im bullish on.
Pump n dumps don’t care what kind of quality of people join their projects , they just want raw numbers. Ultimately without carefully curating or developing a quality community, the inevitable disintegration happens, and the fallout leaves a bad taste in people’s mouth for the entire web3 space.
The core community curated by @the_ape_society has been curated, seasoned, weathered, has experienced highs, lows, all of it. Some days I wish i could trade hype for a slow and boring grind because sometimes hype attracts the wrong type of community members.
This is why I love the spaces hosted by @BaronOnchain because folks get to grasp a little bit of the culture of the community and see if they like it before they make a decision to jump in.
