Ian Bremmer tells @chucktodd that Trump is more popular than Netanyahu in Israel.
@ianbremmer: “Even before October 7th, there were nationwide demonstrations against him because of what he was trying to do to destroy the independent judiciary in that country, because of the domestic challenges where there are real opponents, because this is a corrupt guy who's been done up on all sorts of individual charges that involving his family, and he's trying as best as he can to avoid ever going to jail.”

Ian Bremmer tells @chucktodd that if Marine Le Pen wins, it could bring about a “financial crisis” in France.
@ianbremmer: “The markets are punishing the French for their behavior, but they're punishing France when the leader they're worried about isn't even in power.”

As of yesterday, Florida Democrats exceeded their 2022 early vote performance. A law change made it more difficult to request mail ballots, and Democrats have now made up their mail deficit. Unaffiliated voters have, too. But not Republicans yet michaelmcdonald.substack.com…

McConnell joins Don Bacon in threatening to block Trump agenda in the lame duck if Trump keeps throwing sweeteners to Putin
McConnell in WSJ on Trump’s relationship with Putin & the upcoming “lame-duck” session of Congress: “Mr. Trump has high hopes for a lame-duck legislative agenda, including the one-time defense spending I’ve urged the administration instead to build into full-year appropriations. Passing this agenda will require working with Republicans who know the difference between the good guys and the bad guys. Ending the obeisance to Mr. Putin may be table stakes for the end-of-year legislation. The president should plan accordingly.” wsj.com/opinion/coddling-put…
Oh boy, on the eve of Trump’s visit to Mississippi, Cindy Hyde-Smith *doubles down* on her other “proteins to choose from” comment.
“Thank goodness when mothers want to feed their families when you go out shopping, there are proteins, you want to feed meat, there are some cheaper prices. And that’s what that statement was about.”

Yikes!
When asked about the high price of beef, Cindy Hyde-Smith tells Mississippians to eat something else: “You have so many proteins to choose from.”

New: WSJ went to seven rallies in seven days to see President Trump in his barnstorm campaign.
Supporters remain all in, and Trump is the draw.
There was … more talk about butts than I anticipated.

Wow. GOP is preparing as if it’s Cat 5 that’s building. There does come a point where you start to think about the next cycle. Focus becomes building a higher flood wall to begin for ‘28

Think back to 2006, last midterm w/ an unpopular war/GOP president. Where were the biggest House upsets? Places like IN, IA, KS, MN (Tim Walz!), NH, OH, WI, Upstate NY.
That's why I think the Midwest & places w/ lots of secular white voters are especially ripe for surprises.

What the @Vikings have done this year is incredible
MIN is 6-0 for the 1st time since 2009 all while doing the following...
* fewest TD (10) in a 6-0 start since 1934
* 29th in total EPA (ahead of TEN, PHI, LAC)
* fewest TD (21) in an 11-game win streak in NFL history * K Will Reichard has accounted for more points (63) than the rest of the team combined (62)
* their 85.2% blitz rate vs the Colts today was the highest in a game since 2013
* 1st in total defensive EPA

I’ll admit, always get a tad nervous that the plane I’m on is too old to fly when I see the “no smoking” sign still exists next to the fasten seat belt light. Why is swapping out these “no smoking” lighted signs so difficult for so many airlines?

Much of what's wrong with this presidency flows from the fact that Trump views himself as the leader of a faction, not the head of state. Threatening to stop doing good things for Americans in a state if it votes for a Dem reflects that fundamental constitutional failing. – at Brookmont, MD
Trump: "Lisa Murkowski is a DISGRACE to Alaska and our Country. You just don’t get any worse! I hope the Great People of Alaska understand what is happening. The Democrats are trying to steal this important Republican Seat and, if that happens, everything we’ve done for Alaska will come to an immediate hault."

"SUPER EARLY VOTING SATURDAY"
Today, all 67 counties in Florida are voting
And Mississippi is doing some "in person absentee voting"
We also have Michigan, New Jersey, and New York in person early voting.
After that, the only states left to start EVing are KS/OK.

Alaskans don’t need any help voting for their preferred candidates, and the State of Alaska has already handled this by clearly distinguishing the candidates on this year’s ballot. The Department of Justice should never have filed this lawsuit.
