For nearly two years, the American people watched as Congress surrendered its constitutional authority to Donald Trump, abandoning its responsibility to serve as a check on executive power. We watched ICE agents descend on American neighborhoods, terrorizing families, separating loved ones, and conducting operations that raised grave questions about constitutional rights and deadly uses of force. We watched a president and those closest to him blur the lines between public service, personal enrichment, and political power. We watched American farmers struggle under the weight of tariffs, retaliatory trade policies, rising costs, and disappearing markets. We watched our closest allies alienated, decades of diplomatic relationships damaged, and America’s credibility on the world stage eroded. We watched federal agencies gutted, career public servants pushed out, and scientific expertise dismissed. We watched the Department of Justice face political pressure while the independence of our institutions came under attack. We watched billionaires gain extraordinary influence while working families struggled to afford groceries, housing, healthcare, and childcare. We watched immigrants demonized, transgender Americans targeted, protesters vilified, and vulnerable communities turned into political punching bags. We watched attacks on voting rights, threats against political opponents, assaults on the free press, and efforts to undermine the very institutions designed to protect our democracy. We watched the normalization of corruption, cruelty, dishonesty, and contempt for the rule of law. And perhaps most disturbing of all, we watched members of Congress who swore an oath to defend the Constitution remain silent, make excuses, or actively enable the erosion of their own institution’s authority. But the American people were watching. We were listening. We were remembering. And now, we are demanding accountability. Not revenge. Not political retaliation. Not another round of empty speeches and promises. Accountability under the law. Accountability for abuses of power. Accountability for the damage inflicted on our country. Because elections are not simply about changing who occupies the seats of power. They are about changing what those in power are permitted to get away with. The American people did not fight to reclaim their government just to watch a new Congress protect the people who abused it. We did our part at the ballot box. Now Congress must do its part under the Constitution.

Anyone seeking to understand the midterm’s lessons should start here: Democrats won by being populist economic fighters who were unafraid to call out the corrupt politicians and corporate interests who have rigged the system at the expense of everyone else.

I trust every democrat who won in the past 24hrs appreciates that our votes were not a gift. They were a loan. It's now your time to prove we made the right choice!

As Democrats, we now have an abundance of riches in terms of Senators. No excuse for us to continue to even humor obsolete, archaic, endlessly corrupt dipshits like Chuck Schumer. His version of the Democratic party is dead, regardless of whether he likes it or not.

Replying to @thejackhopkins
"Now, the work begins to actually deliver results. The American people have elected Democrats across the country in federal, state, and local races who must be ruthless in using every lever of power to deliver economic relief for working families and hold this administration accountable for their deep-seated corruption." Kamala Harris ..."hold this administration accountable for their deep-seated corruption."

Just keep in mind, Schumer and Trump are friends. The kind of friends, that, even after Trump pulled the J6 bullshit, Schumer attended a dinner where Trump was speaking, and laughed at his stupid ass jokes. I don’t want men or women like that anywhere close to a leadership position in this party.

For the love of all that is good, Democrats, do not squander this. The voters have given you a mandate. Use it. Be the party of working people. Be the anti-war party. Be the anti-corruption party. Be the party that ignores the Senate Parliamentarian. We cannot go back to business as usual.

First thing on our agenda is to get rid of these useless cowards. And that’s what they are. COWARDS. @SenSchumer @RepJeffries
The Democrats had their biggest win in 50 years and Schummer is already talking like he will work with "moderate" republicans. He is a terrible leader and the Democrats would betray their voters if they let this clowm lead the senate again.

First things Dems in the House should do: vote to restore the subsidies for ACA accounts and get rid of the cuts to Medicaid & SNAP. On Day One.

When people say Barack Obama divided this country more than anyone (or at all), what they really mean is he made a lot of racists fighting mad bc he is a brilliant, kind, charismatic, competent Black man - and not whatever made-up stereotype they want to project on Black men.

One of the most blatant forms of hypocrisy in our time is Christians holding all ordinary people accountable to an extremely rigid set of moral standards, all while holding themselves and the President accountable to no standards at all. #TruthMatters

Funny how a generation raised with so little technology learned so much about people. We could read a room, recognize a bad mood, and know when someone needed help. No notifications required. Just paying attention.

MARRIED MOTHER INDICTED ON FOUR FELONY S*X CRIMES INVOLVING CHILD UNDER 12, INCLUDING INC*ST Via Abby Blabby I shared this case last night but have some received some additional photos and information, so I am reposting it. I confirmed the alleged victim is a male. I’ve also been told that she has a history of drinking problems and that she has had previous allegations regarding child ab*se and neglect. And yes, her current husband is a cop. BARDSTOWN, Ky. — A 31-year-old Kentucky woman has been indicted on four felony charges involving the alleged s*xual abuse of a child younger than 12, including first-degree s0domy, inc*st and two counts of first-degree s*xual abuse. Lauren Winans, of Bardstown, was indicted by a Nelson County grand jury on Wednesday, October 21, 2026. According to the indictment, the alleged offenses occurred in Nelson County between January 1, 2022, and November 20, 2022. Prosecutors allege that Winans engaged in illegal s*xual contact and s*xual acts involving a child younger than 12. One of the most disturbing allegations involves the inc*st charge, which accuses Winans of engaging in intercourse or deviate s*xual intercourse with a relative younger than 12. The grand jury returned an indictment on four felony counts: • First-degree s0domy involving a child younger than 12 — Class A felony. • Inc*st involving a child younger than 12 — Class A felony. • First-degree s*xual abuse involving a child younger than 12 — Class C felony. • First-degree s*xual abuse involving a child younger than 12 — Class C felony. The investigation was conducted by Detective Travis Dalton of Kentucky State Police Post 4. Special Prosecutor Shelly Miller presented the case to the grand jury. Winans was initially booked into the Nelson County Detention Center before being transferred to the LaRue County Detention Center. Her bond was set at $250,000 cash, with several strict conditions imposed should she be released. Those conditions include a dusk-to-dawn curfew, no direct or indirect contact with the alleged victim, and a prohibition on alcohol and drug use. Winans is scheduled to appear in Nelson Circuit Court for arraignment on November 5, 2026, at 9 a.m. The indictment is a formal accusation, not a finding of guilt. Winans is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
