Honestly, everyone who has encouraged “Young Bob” to persist in this behaviour should be ashamed. He’s a teenager who’s obviously several sandwiches short of a picnic. He should be painting Necrons in his bedroom and frotting himself to sleep on a futonari pillow, but instead, on a rare occasion when he isn’t getting the shit kicked out of him in the street, here he is admitting on camera—because he’s so dim—that he did indeed say what he’s alleged to have said. What a sad, sad pointless way to ruin your life.
Young Bob has been arrested. Apparently, he called someone the P-word, but he claims that someone asked him about it and he said it was acceptable to use it.

Replying to @FellaLeeds
There was NO way I was mirroring that shit, so with the broadest, loudest, Scottish accent you'll ever hear I told them I thought it was " fucking great, about time you elected a man of colour " The conversation came to an abrupt halt. I had their number from the get-go

“Actually 800m Indian and Nigerian plumbers in two months is real conservative Disraeli values Mr woke identity politics. I am proud our government led by Penny is for the working person” “Anyway open borders Labour would be clearly worse” Probably luke black in 2034
I remain optimistic but the prospect of a Tory recovery is just so depressing, much more so than a 10-year Burnham reich. The media have so much to answer for.

Fuck off
As I predicted, Reform couldn't professionalise, peaked too soon, and once it's polling 3rd for long enough, a lot of Conservative-Reform switchers are going to want to come back and back the stronger horse, leading to a death spiral for Reform.

The idea that there are educated people with high-paying jobs walking among us, and in droves, are willing to go “you know what, I’ll give the Tories another chance” is too depressing to even contemplate.

Hard to clutch pearls at the Englishness discourse when you have Begums and Hussains in Parliament advocating for their cousins in Bangladesh and Pakistan
1 in 20 people in Bangladesh live in extreme poverty, facing multifaceted challenges from rising living costs to the climate crisis and more. In Sylhet, the APPG on Bangladesh met former tea garden workers in the minority Urang community, to learn more about them and @BRACworld’s Ultra Poor Graduation approach. Since 2002, this approach offers a time-bound pathway to agency, dignity and control over resources, for those in poverty so entrenched that they would not benefit from micro finance. A trial by the LSE found 95% of participants continued to improve their living standards when measured 11 years after interventions ended.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Apsara Begum is a UK MP. Due to the huge amounts of post about issues in Bangladesh it is important that her constituents realise she is supposed to be representing them. theyworkforyou.com/mp/25914/apsan…

The natural male instinct is to be pro-building houses, data centres, high speed rail etc, so I get the romantic idea of YIMBY-ism. But UK YIMBY-ism is just building new housing stock, and over 2 thirds going to people born outside of Britain. Everything is downstream of that.

Good government, 21st century: what if we didn't destroy our own electrical grid for no reason.
België en @ENGIE_energie zijn erin geslaagd de kerncentrales Doel IV en Tihange III in een half jaar volledig te reviseren, alle veiligheidsprocedures te doorlopen en weer op te starten. Terwijl sluiting gepland was. Dat is een applausje waard, vindt u niet? #grafiekvandedag

They're not pro EU they just want to go back to when could not notice or feel the decline. Rejoining the EU will not change that.

Burnham wants you to know he's an Everton season ticket holder who likes pork scratchings but also this is all very serious and we live in dangerous times so make sure you have your apocalypse survival kit fully stocked.
“Be ready by having some everyday essentials… three litres of water per person per day, tinned goods... to last a few days” Speaking to @vicderbyshire, Defence Secretary Wes Streeting details advice to households to be prepared for a “dangerous and turbulent world”. #Newsnight
