On the Alexander Volkanovski vs. Movsar Evloev Rewatch:
Volk may have started winning this fight long before the walk. He played buddy buddy with Evloev since before the bout was announced. Evloev thought he was getting into a martial arts competition with a respected opponent. Volk went in like it was a life or death cage fight with millions on the line. Volk’s mental game was a major factor.
As always, Volk’s jab was big. Stiff jab, off-time jab, 1-2, delayed 1-2. Its an underrated part of his game that branches off into the rest of his offense.
Evloev actually did a good job of chaining punches to the end of his wrestling sequences. The best shots he landed came after Volk disengaged from wrestling. This is a new wrinkle to his game that’ll be a real difference maker for him moving forward.
Once Volk heard the ten second clapper, he immediately reared up to land optically big shots to make Marc Goddard step in. Evloev looked mentally and physically spent in that moment and less experienced fighters may not have added all the elements of timing, geography and opponent’s mental state in real time.
Guys, Volkanovski is 38-years-old and he just stopped an undefeated Russian in his physical prime. Top of arguably the deepest weight class in MMA. He stays active, great to the fans and makes a mean Volkano Beef Burger. Short, bald men unite around your king.

People keep asking why @Zuffa_Boxing hasn't run a US show since July outside of Garcia vs. Benn.
It's a budget question.
Garcia-Benn was expensive. Purses were reportedly ~$30M combined, and Zuffa had to co-promote with Golden Boy to get Garcia.
That's one event eating a budget that normally covers 4–5 shows. And it's not a PPV. There's no fight-night windfall to pay it back, so the cost gets earned back over time as lifetime value of the subscriber matures.
Scheduling is the other constraint. Paramount doesn't want Sunday shows against the NFL, and doesn't want boxing head to head with UFC on Saturdays except in rare spots like Garcia-Benn.
The UK shows exist to service the Sky Sports deal. They aren't built for a US audience.
Next up: 2 Riyadh events in November. That's a heavy schedule for a promoter in its first full year, with strong distribution in both the US and UK.
2027 is the big year. Expect large investors to want into the $TKO - Saudi JV.
And before the Low IQ’s say it — GARCIA V BENN WAS A ZUFFA BOXING EVENT. RING IS TURKI WHO IS SELA WHO IS ZUFFA WHO IS TKO.
Direct exposure to TKO? Not much. ~199K shares, ~0.1%.
Effective exposure? Depends on how much of WME Group he owns. WME Group owns ~64% of TKO. Ari rolled ~$290M into the ~$13B Endeavor take-private, so call it ~2% of WME. 2% × 64% ≈ 1.4% look-through, ~1.5% all-in. Vince (~3.4%) is still bigger. You're right on that part.

how much does ari own of tko? probably under 1%. i'm sure vince is a bigger shareholder than him.
Apollo is buying ~10% of Mubadala Capital, the asset mgmt arm of Abu Dhabi's Mubadala. Parent Mubadala owns a minority stake in Silver Lake and co-invested in its Endeavor take-private. Silver Lake controls WME Group (ex-Endeavor), which owns ~62% of $TKO.
Claude only launched in March 2023. From zero to $70 billion annual recurring revenue in less than 4 years.
It has been a popular narrative to suggest that Anthropic was a cash burning machine but based on its S-1 its cash raised (~$141 billion) less its current cash and equivalents ($131 billion) means it has only burned about $10 billion while growing from hundreds of millions in revenue in 2024 to nearly $100 billion run rate exiting 2026.
Anthropic S-1
The biggest takeaway is that Anthropic is approaching profitability at the operating level much faster than expected, even as it raises enormous amounts of capital to fund AI infrastructure. Revenue growth is extraordinary, but the ownership structure is also unusual: founders retain voting control, while an independent trust controls the majority of board seats.
Balance Sheet & Capital Position (as of June 30, 2026)
- Cash + short-term investments: ~$132 billion
- Total assets: ~$147 b
- Total liabilities: ~$117 b
- Redeemable convertible preferred stock: ~$158 b
- Accumulated deficit: ~$133 b
- Total capital raised: ~$141 b
Two especially important outside owners are:
Amazon — holds a major nonvoting economic interest. Its convertible-note arrangement includes a 12% capitalization ownership cap, which Amazon may waive. Approximately $6.2 billion of Amazon rollover-note principal remained outstanding as of June 30, potentially convertible into roughly 1.84 billion Class N shares before applying the cap.
Alphabet / Google — also owns more than 5% of Anthropic's capital after the contemplated conversions. Its 2026 financing agreement has a 14.99% ownership cap, subject to Google waiving that limitation.
Bob Ojeda was one of the most underrated pitchers of his era, the steady lefty behind the 1986 Mets. He likely had a few more good seasons left if not for the boating accident in March 1993.
It happened on an off day during the Indians spring training, on a lake in Clermont, Florida. Ojeda survived with severe head injuries. His teammates Steve Olin & Tim Crews were killed. They were the first active MLB players to die since Thurman Munson in 1979.
light domestic beers are $10 a pop and they add mandatory 18% gratuity and then ask for a tip on top of that. Brickell is not a real place. Fun place to visit though.
a nice apartment in brickell is $4,000+/mo
eating out is $50 minimum every time. twice a day is $3,000/mo
padel every day is $1,000/mo
a real gym is $350/mo
car payment plus miami insurance is $1,600/mo
add flights, taxes, investing...
and you need to be making $25k/mo to even consider yourself "doing ok"
$300k/yr is the new $100k/yr
This doesn't look like a broken company. I mean revenue and operating income just goes up virtually every quarter. No position. $NFLX

It's showing up on YouTube. Nielsen's latest Gauge has YouTube at nearly 16% of all US TV viewing, up from about 13% last summer, while Netflix slid from 8.7% to 7.7%.
Same TV, same evenings, and the channels people follow put out something new most days.
Northwestern really nailed it with this stadium. it's.. beautiful.
One day later, I’m still blown away by the new Ryan Field. Takeaway #1? Bears fans would be blessed if Pat Ryan Jr has ANY influence in the team’s future stadium, preferably in Illinois. The fan amenities? The creature comforts? Top notch. (More …)
