Important to keep in mind: Defense Secretary Hegseth has a history of accusing people of leaking to the press, allegations that were never proven to be true. Also, could be mistaken but it’s not typical for Pentagon spokespeople to communicate that a service member is under a DOJ classified leak investigation.

Rs are bottoming out in Florida. They netted only 18k votes and gained 0.3%.
At this point if they don't have their best eday turnout in recent memory they are completely screwed.
It depends on total turnout but Rs possibly need an R+30 eday to feel comfortable now.

Today’s New York Times reporting reveals disturbing new evidence of an organized effort to manipulate Alaska’s elections by recruiting candidates—including one with the same name as an incumbent U.S. Senator—to deliberately confuse voters and misdirect their votes. The Alaska Division of Elections investigated these very concerns in June of this year. The new reporting substantially supports the Division’s findings.
I am therefore directing the Department of Public Safety to investigate whether this scheme violated Alaska’s laws and whether criminal charges or civil action are warranted. The evidence will determine what happens next.
Alaskans have a fundamental right to vote for the candidate they actually intend to support. Deliberately tricking voters into casting their ballots for someone else strikes at the integrity of our elections.
Anyone or any organization found to have broken the law must be held accountable.

To be clear - THIS cycle, @Senate_Fund spent nearly $500k to secure a Green Party candidate who lives in AZ to run in AK.
And in '24 AK GOP recruited a prisoner w/ no ties to AK and w/ a NY address to run against Peltola. The AK GOP took legal action to keep him on the ballot.
Peltola’s former campaign manager, fired this summer, goes on record to the NYTs to say that the Dems worked to get another Dan Sullivan on the ballot. ...And then subsequently tries to retract her statements.

As the Republican tide recedes, and Democrats turn out to undo some of the day's damage, the GOP fell short of the 30,000-ballot run-up we've come to expect from them. Republicans made it to +54,500 today. Democrats will likely whittle that figure down to +45,000 by mid-morning.

I have been a registered Democrat for 45 years. In the past, I voted based on my party affiliation. I no longer do so, as doing so can prevent voters from selecting the best candidate. I believe Greg Ballard is the best candidate for Secretary of State. He served exceptionally well as mayor of Indianapolis during his two terms. He is a principled, honest, and compassionate person who would always put people first, even when doing so means opposing his own party. What American politics lacks today is elected officials who prioritize the people and do what is right, even when it conflicts with their party’s position. Greg Ballard is the kind of politician American politics needs today: someone who puts people first and will not compromise on what is right. Indiana, things will never get better until we begin electing candidates who put the people ahead of the extreme political positions that characterize our politics today.
Two great choices in this years Secretary of State race. A candidate that can form a party to hold Republicans accountable for years to come. Or a candidate that is committed to ensuring we get the truth about how rotten Diego Morales actually was. I’m just sad I couldn’t split the vote.
