I've been thinking about why the $XRP community is angry right now beyond just the lack of upward movement of the price. It's impossible to speak for every holder, but here is my observation. @RippleSwell was supposed to bring renewed energy and excitement around $XRP. 2026 was the year of institutional adoption according to @MonicaLongSF.
The @The_DTCC was going live at the same time Swell was going on. There is nothing more institutional than the DTCC's quadrillions of settlement value. Leaders at @Ripple had the entire crypto industry watching. Remember, $XRP is the north star. What retail holders thought was going to happen was 17 big announcements on stage about institutional adoption at scale.
What happened was no institutional announcements. Even worse, @Bullish CEO @ThomasFarley said that his team was "exploring" XRP use cases. $RLUSD got more attention again with only generalized statements about trusting that $XRP is really important.
Now for everyone mad at the XRP retail community for demanding answers, don't forget that @bgarlinghouse himself said that retail holders are one of the many switches that are being flipped for $XRP. And I think if you miss this, you may miss the entire problem. Right now, many XRP holders feel like they are the ONLY switch being flipped. @Ripple just released another 300 million $XRP. At $1.25 (or whatever the OTC sell price was) thats over $300 million for @Ripple on the backs of the only known switch that is being flipped.
I'm not suggested that this thesis is true. I'm only suggesting that this is a perception that many in the community have. And we all know that perception is reality.
Leaders at Ripple do not owe the XRP community anything. They are focused on their business and their shareholders. However, leaders who recognize a problem and are willing to address it head on gain standing among the community. Because $XRP is now classified as a commodity, there are no restrictions on speaking about $XRP's adoption or potential price targets from anyone at Ripple. $XRP is not a security.
So...while it is not required to address any of these perceptions, it might be wise to do so.

I am respectfully calling on @bgarlinghouse ,@JoelKatz and the @Ripple team to host an open X Space and speak directly to the #XRPArmy.
If we have misunderstood the bigger picture, explain it to us. Address the concerns, provide clarity and, most importantly, let your actions speak louder than silence.
Continued uncertainty could seriously damage confidence in $XRP and Ripple, potentially extending beyond retail investors to institutional trust.
Media interviews are not enough. We want a direct conversation, honest answers and accountability.
Seven years of loyalty deserve more than silence. Brad and David, the community is asking. Will you show up?

The truth behind the "ISO 20022 compliant XRP" narrative:
ISO 20022 messaging does not happen on the XRP Ledger. Here is how it actually works:
Messaging (Off-chain): Ripple Payments uses private, encrypted APIs to exchange ISO 20022 (pacs.008) data. Debtor names, compliance details, and invoices stay off-chain to comply with data privacy laws (like GDPR).
Settlement (On-chain): The XRPL only handles the value transfer (XRP or RLUSD) in 3–5 seconds. The public ledger has no idea who sent what to whom. Tokens aren’t "ISO compliant" software is. ISO 20022 is the language banks speak; the ledger is simply one rail that settles the tab.
