What Else Is There? In this essay, I explain why the @muslimbtcsummit offers something different from all the Muslim institutions that are out there, and what becomes possible when we build around sound money, sovereign tech+a shared praxis of actual exit from riba. Link below:

Fiat money the alchemy of the Jew Qarun. Start dealing in gold, do away with fiat and watch the banker's project 'Israel' disappear. Watch how wars cannot be financed, inflation ends, and the environment improves.

The Money Behind Power In this keynote at the Muslim Bitcoin Summit London 2026, Harris Irfan reflects on the failures of the modern Islamic finance industry and advocates for a shift toward sound money principles, specifically using Bitcoin. Irfan argues that finance is not neutral; it shapes society through the way money is created and allocated. He highlights that most modern banking relies on riba debt creation, which he identifies as a systemic moral problem. Despite his role in reinventing Islamic finance at Deutsche Bank, Irfan concludes that the islamic banking industry has often merely changed the legal contracts to replicate conventional debt based models, failing to challenge the status quo or provide a truly alternative moral economy. He suggests that Bitcoin resonates with Islamic economic thought due to its scarcity, decentralization, and resistance to manipulation. He positions sound money as a technology for patience (sabr), contrasting it with the short termism and leverage encouraged by the current fiat system. Irfan emphasizes that sound money is only half the solution. He advocates for finance to return to genuine partnership and risk sharing, where investors share the actual risks and rewards of an enterprise rather than protecting themselves through debt claims. He also expresses skepticism toward riba leveraged plays on Bitcoin, viewing them as "fiat degeneracy" rather than the pure, sound money concept Bitcoin represents. youtu.be/ZzTuTwVtlis?is=NKlC…

"You don't only pay tax when you cash your Bitcoin back into the bank." That's one of the biggest misconceptions this panel clears up, as Shukry Haleemdeen, a chartered management accountant and crypto tax specialist, walks through what UK Bitcoin holders actually need to know. UK Focus — Tax & Regulatory Landscape, Strategies in Savings, Donations & Charity Organisations Hosted by @rizq_revolution, with @shukryh, founder of @mycryptotaxuk, who has worked in crypto tax since 2014. Shukry explains how your tax depends on what you do with your Bitcoin, from capital gains for most holders to income tax for mining and staking and corporation tax for companies, and which moves count as a taxable event. He covers what HMRC can already see, including the new Crypto-Asset Reporting Framework, and the rule changes he expects in 2027. The panel then turns to the community: how businesses can accept Bitcoin, and why mosques and charities, which don't pay capital gains tax, have a real opportunity to accept Bitcoin donations, including zakat, as long as they take security and record-keeping seriously. Plenty of Muslims holding Bitcoin want to pay their zakat in Bitcoin. Most mosques and charities can't accept it. That came up on our UK tax panel with Shukry Haleemdeen (My Crypto Tax). His clients want to give zakat on their gains without cashing out first, and charities pay no capital gains tax on it. The opportunity is there. The infrastructure isn't, yet. Hosted by @rizq_revolution, the panel also covers what's actually taxable, what HMRC can see, and how a business can start accepting Bitcoin, all done properly and above board. The only reason people care about this phone is because it will support @GrapheneOS, literally the only reason, but @Moto seems very shy about marketing it that way. Weird.

I have a cynical take on this There's no dearth of payment solutions, Bitcoin hasn't sufficiently monetized yet. No payment tech however magical, can solve an economics problem Demand problem cannot be solved by supply solutions
.@jack thinks bitcoin payment adoption isn’t where it should be. We want your ideas on how @Blocks, Spiral, and you can increase adoption within 5 years. Our trajectory needs changing. Here’s more on our thinking. Now we want yours: github.com/spiralxyz/bitcoin… View article

"What would it take for a major platform such as Meta, Shopify, or OpenAI to accept bitcoin?" You're asking the wrong question entirely and it reveals just how poorly @spiral_xyz and much of the broader Bitcoin industry understand the problem they're actually trying to solve.

every new integration, stablecoin rail or corpo partnership somehow moves us closer to Bitcoin standard. We need to take time to explore what kinds of economic relationships Bitcoin makes possible that could not exist before, and how we begin building them. That's is where

I'd direct the developers and builders to experiment. Stop begging and idolizing Meta and Shopify or whatever to accept Bitcoin. We need to be making their permission increasingly irrelevant! OK I think that's all I wanna say.
