Plenty of Muslims holding Bitcoin want to pay their zakat in Bitcoin. Most mosques and charities can't accept it. That came up on our UK tax panel with Shukry Haleemdeen (My Crypto Tax). His clients want to give zakat on their gains without cashing out first, and charities pay no capital gains tax on it. The opportunity is there. The infrastructure isn't, yet. Hosted by @rizq_revolution, the panel also covers what's actually taxable, what HMRC can see, and how a business can start accepting Bitcoin, all done properly and above board. "What would it take for a major platform such as Meta, Shopify, or OpenAI to accept bitcoin?" You're asking the wrong question entirely and it reveals just how poorly @spiral_xyz and much of the broader Bitcoin industry understand the problem they're actually trying to solve.
.@jack thinks bitcoin payment adoption isn’t where it should be. We want your ideas on how @Blocks, Spiral, and you can increase adoption within 5 years. Our trajectory needs changing. Here’s more on our thinking. Now we want yours: github.com/spiralxyz/bitcoin… View article

Bitcoin alone won't make you sovereign. That's where @TeePolitics started his session at the Muslim Bitcoin Summit, and it's a direct challenge to the self-congratulation you hear at most Bitcoin conferences. A paper Bitcoin standard, the AI-driven surveillance state, and why the real fight ahead is over governance, not just keys. With @MBitcoiner & @BitcoinLawyr . "If you don't have sovereignty, then none of the other stuff matters." Watch the full session: youtu.be/g0UqM4emXwg Subscribe, like and share on YouTube, we're uploading a new session every day!

"Bitcoin's going to free Palestine." That's the line that got Maher Janajri into Bitcoin back in 2013. On this panel we got into what that actually looks like on the ground. Getting money into Gaza when banks can't. Escaping the shekel in the West Bank. Circular Bitcoin economies in Africa, and what the ummah can learn from them. With @MBitcoiner ,@BitcoinLawyr & Maher Janajri. "He doesn't want my handout. He wants a halal, dignified income." Watch the full panel: youtube.com/watch?v=cLi7X1J9…

Not the keynote you'd expect at a Bitcoin summit, and one of the ones we were asked about most. @SafdarAlam , former Global Head of Islamic Structuring at J.P. Morgan, on why Islamic finance went wrong, and how Muslims can re-architect the financial system, and civilisation, from first principles. Bitcoin is part of the conversation, but not the whole answer. "If you don't have a philosophy of capital, the market will push it onto you." This is exactly why @BitcoinMajlis has been outlining the Digital Hijrah - a deliberate migration from these extractive systems via: •self-custody Bitcoin •privacy-first tools •open-source infrastructure A community that doesn't hand their data or deen over to this panopticon

I genuinely think this is one of the best keynotes you'll ever hear. @SimonDixonTwitt at the Muslim Bitcoin Summit in London, on how Bitcoin combats the military, financial & technical industrial complex. You could literally feel the impact this had on everyone in the room. Riba, the rise and fall of empires, war, the coming digital control grid, and why owning your own key is the way out. "The ability to be at the right side of a money printer determines who rules the world." Wow would you look at that Whilst many people’s stubbornness forced them to repeat the question “what happens if the whole world loses power?” They literally managed to print gold…
Last month, we demonstrated high-rate alchemy: turning mercury into real, stable gold, beating CERN’s record by a factor of 10. Last week, we enriched isotopes in the world’s most powerful plasma centrifuge, beating the Soviet record that stood for 40 years. Now, we’re building a fusion reactor in San Francisco to achieve record power density.

Palantir is deemed Shariah compliant by several globally recognised Shariah screening standards Including AAOIFI. The Shariah board at AAOIFI comprises the most experienced and renowned Scholars in the world Either you accept Palantir is Shariah compliant or you stop using “the scholars approved it” as a defence for Islamic products. Pick your lane.

This is a sincere question (To clarify - I don’t promote btc as an investment for Muslims. I don’t want that Amanah but I support btc due to its strong philosophy of capital. Which is entirely aligned with Islam ) I am pleased to be seen not to promote products and investments. Because virtually all modern products are derived from a certain philosophy of capital which is degenerate for Muslims to follow. Our sign of complete capture by Riba and fiat is that we are forced to search for products delivered by the system that has captured us. For nearly all Muslim fintech founders the correct response is to line them up and whip them until they appreciate our Deen and fear the Amanah of asking for Muslim capital. I reject their products and their capture entirely. It is a curse on Muslims.

I have never seen you suggest anything other btc. Apart from gold, btc and equity what else is there?

I was invited to provide a keynote speech (one of three) at this event. I had never met any of the organisers before and only knew one from here on X. I was invited to speak and immediately accepted because I trust the brother who invited me. The event wouldn’t be a corporate sell out nor a way to make money. It was to genuinely reach out to Muslims and challenge dominant thinking in the finance and capital space. Also - I am largely de-platformed (which I long accept as a natural outcome of my public positions) and for an event to invite me directly speaks of the sincerity and willingness to disrupt. We need more of this mindset. Firstly - it was a genuine pleasure to meet some brothers whom I only knew as handles on X and new brothers on the team also. I was treated as a guest and felt welcomed immediately. Secondly - before being de-platformed - I had spoken at dozens of conferences I. islamic finance - and this was different. Fully funded by the community- no sponsors - only the message. Financial sovereignty. It was eye- opening and new to me to see a whole conference where nobody promoted their own products and platforms and subscriptions. Where the aim was only to fulfil our service to our Creator. The energy during and in between talks and panels was outstanding. Apart from my talk I did not even get a chance to see much of the other discussions and was engaged with attendees in discussing key aspects of the wholistic movement of exit and sovereignty. I won’t name the brothers who hosted and made me feel like their brother at home but they of course know who they are. I left feeling humility. Humility to be invited when that is not the safe thing to do and to be offered a keynote talk. Humility to meet strangers and feel their generosity without condition or expectation from them. Humility to be invited to witness what driven and sincere and united brothers and sisters can do. I have been to dozens of conferences where 2-3k people attend and the sponsor list runs over several pages. This was different in every way and all in good ways. May Allah swt reward the team, their sincerity, their selflessness, their generosity and their devotion to a worthy cause - Muslim sovereignty.
How we hosted the Muslim Bitcoin Summit in London for under £15k. The unofficial playbook: how we ran MBS26 London for under £15k. We ran a two-day international conference in London on a budget most organisers would laugh at. Four months, ten volunteers, no organisation behind us, and not a penny of corporate sponsorship. Here's exactly how we did it. #Bitcoin #Islam #AntiRiba #Community #EscapeRiba #MBS26London

Pakistan deserves a Bitcoin wallet built for Pakistan. After years of delays and waiting, I’m excited to finally introduce paysats (@paybitcoins) 🇵🇰⚡ A non-custodial Bitcoin Lightning wallet designed around the needs of Pakistanis — from freelancers earning abroad to families receiving remittances and people making everyday payments. Not another global wallet trying to fit Pakistan in. Built for Pakistan. Powered by Bitcoin.
