Financing Pakistan’s Creative Economy: Content As An Asset Class Pakistani drama is one of our most successful cultural exports, watched across the region and by the diaspora worldwide. Yet the industry behind it has been financed almost entirely outside the formal system: project by project, through personal capital and informal arrangements. That model caps scale, constrains ambition and keeps institutional investors out. Today, I am proud to share that 7th Sky Entertainment and Next Capital have joined hands to establish a first-of-its-kind content venture, combining 7th Sky’s creative leadership with Next Capital’s financial advisory expertise. The objective is simple: bring structure, governance and access to institutional capital to one of Pakistan's most creative industries. Deep capital markets are built by bringing new sectors into the formal economy. Entertainment should be one of them. I am genuinely excited about what this can do for the creators, producers and investors behind Pakistan's content industry.
