Anyone who has any kind of military experience will have zero issues with the cockpit crew here.
The pilot in command, the one who you can hear towards the end saying the Lord’s Prayer, was a GenX experienced pilot.
The co-pilot already had over a thousand hours in the air with reports I’ve seen.
On active duty, I put my life in the hands of 20 year olds every day.
I would have had zero problem flying in that aircraft on that day with that crew.
I’d take a 20 year old co-pilot with over a thousand hours over a 30+ year old with 200 hours any day of the week.
The below article had a good screen grab of the meteorological conditions that the crew faced. We’ll see in six months or so from the NTSB what they think happened, but all indications are that the crew did what could be done with the physics involved.
Mother Nature, especially storms in Florida, moves fast and violent. The odds are the odds…and an over speed condition in a Lear Jet is the stuff of nightmares.
"The captain who was flying the private jet that crashed in Palm Beach County is Jeff Gregory ... TMZ has learned. A family member of Gregory's tells TMZ ... the 55-year-old Gregory was piloting the lear 60, along with the co-pilot, 20-year-old Nathalia Gadelha."

Patrick Stewart was an actor who brought so much effort to the roles he played. Whether it's Shakespeare, Star Trek: The Next Generation, X-Men, or American Dad, he gave his all in his work and brought so much joy as a result.

Obama on backlash about his Cheesecake Factory joke:
First of all, let me get this on the record. I am the father of two daughters. I lived at Chuck E. Cheese, and California Pizza Kitchen, and the Cheesecake Factory. That was my jam for about a decade. Of course, the real problem is prices have gotten so high, folks can barely afford to go out to eat. You would think that this administration would be spending time worrying about that.

Obama 🔥: "The president wasn't even mad about the Saddam Hussein comparison! That part didn't bother him. But he was very upset about the Cheesecake Factory comments. He took great umbrage. The mobilized a whole of government response to that joke! They told the Treasury Secretary to hold a press conference in front of the Cheesecake Factory. This really happened."

JFC, people. Obama wasn’t making fun of people who eat at The Cheesecake Factory. He was making fun of the decor: part faux Italian villa, part Egyptian palace, part Las Vegas fever dream. Unless you invented eating mozzarella sticks amidst the architectural splendor of a collapsing empire, please chill.

There’s been an extreme amount of bad faith actors spreading propaganda + inciting fear about roller coasters/the clamshell lap bar in the wake of the tragedy on Goliath @ Six Flags Over Georgia, so please allow me to address some things…
B&M roller coasters are among the safest amusement rides in human history.
Bolliger & Mabillard (B&M), the Swiss manufacturer behind world famous inverted coasters like Batman the Ride, hypers, dives, loopers + other coaster models has a near-flawless record on mechanical/design-related catastrophic failures.
Via IAAPA/National Safety Council data, the chance of being seriously injured on a fixed-site U.S. amusement park ride is about 1 in 15.5 million rides taken. Fatalities are far rarer. Historical U.S. data shows only a handful of roller coaster-associated deaths per year (overwhelming majority linked to pre-existing medical conditions rather than mechanical failure or physical injury). Lifetime or per-ride odds of death on a coaster are estimated in the range of 1 in several hundreds of millions of rides.
I had Grok narrow these odds even further down with an estimate of 1 in 2-2.9 billion of dying from mechanical or ride system failure on B&M coasters in specific.
1 IN 2.9 BILLION!
That figure is now including the tragic and horrific death of Hassan Jihad Ibn Kariem. So prior to the terrible events on Goliath @ Six Flags Over Georgia the past Monday, it had never even happened before.
It quite literally might be one of the rarest ways in die in human history.
My prayers are with the victim and his family, that is not a situation I would wish on my worst enemy, but please do not allow these scum political actors on X who have jumped on the news/tragedy for clicks/profit to incite fear in you and stop you from having fun at a park!
God bless you all, as a friend of mine says, KEEP RIDIN’ COASTERS! 😉 - RCX

One of the greatest moments in Capitol history.
When Laura Loomer attempted to disrupt a hearing, Missouri Rep. Bill Long, who is a real auctioneer, began calling a fake auction to drown her out until she was escorted her out.
He then yields to laughter.

HAYES: You really seem like you don't like the guy.
OSSSOFF: I don't like bigotry. I don't like the Klan. I don't like neo-nazis. I don't like sitting members of congress who allow neo-nazi propaganda to be produced from their house. I don't accept that a sitting member of congress should appoint people to leadership roles in his political organization, with documented ties to the Ku klux Klan. It's not just the folks around Mike Collins, it's Mike Collins himself.

The most well thought out and presented article I've seen regarding the incident at Six Flags Over Georgia.
No sensationalism, no speculation, just laying out what the possibilities are.

1. Majority of these are not from rides.
2. Majority from rides are rider or operator fault
3. Majority of KI/Great Adventure ones are freak tragedies unrelated to rides from the 1970/80’s that would never happen today.
Insanely irresponsible + fear baiting post.
Modern roller coasters are incredibly safe. Yesterday’s death is the first ever death on a B&M coaster in 37-38 years of their existence.
Approximately 101 deaths at parks that were or are managed by Six Flags Entertainment Corporation (including former Cedar Fair parks after the 2024 merger), according to a detailed 2026 compilation by The Doan Law Firm.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The compilation by The Doan Law Firm includes all deaths at these parks over decades from any cause (e.g. shootings, drownings, heart attacks, parking lot incidents) plus some pre-ownership or merged Cedar Fair cases, not only ride fatalities.

I’ll take @ellalangleymsic over Kacey Musgraves any day.
And if I’m choosin’ Texas, I’ll take Ken Paxton over James Talarico.
