If we had Medicare for All everyone would have healthcare with no premiums, deductibles or co-payments and we’d save $650 billion and 68,000 lives a year.
If we gave cancer patients, at most, a check for $6,500 for a $150,000 treatment they’d go bankrupt & die an early death.

Airbnb and Booking, com, companies that have supported Israel’s war crimes, unilaterally delisted our guesthouse after we asked a former Israeli soldier to sign a “Pledge of Non-Involvement in War Crimes.”
Following an official investigation, the Japanese authorities concluded that our actions violated neither the Hotels Act nor anti-discrimination laws.
Nevertheless, Airbnb continues to keep our listing suspended.
No matter how cheap or convenient Airbnb and Booking, com may be, is it really worth trading away your conscience to use them?
Not only these two companies — using the services/products of any company on this list is no different from helping to enable war crimes.
As consumers, the choices we make are the only real force capable of changing companies that refuse to hold themselves accountable.
Please, make a choice guided by your conscience.
The United Nations updated its list of companies operating in illegal Israeli settlements in the West Bank, now including 158 firms from 11 countries.
The list features companies such as Airbnb, Booking.com, TripAdvisor, and Motorola Solutions, while some, like Alstom and Opodo, were removed after review.
The UN urged these companies to address human rights impacts, and UN Human Rights chief Volker Turk called Israel’s settlement policies a war crime.
The update added 68 new companies and removed 7, citing involvement in activities like construction, surveillance, infrastructure demolition, and land destruction in occupied Palestinian territories.
Just walked my dog in my war ravaged neighborhood and now heading to my daughter's soccer game. The most dangerous thing I encountered was a loose golden retriever who wanted belly rubs. But sure, send the troops to protect us from food carts and people riding bikes.

Sporting bodies must not turn a blind eye to grave human rights violations, especially when their platforms are used to normalise injustices.

BREAKING DeepSeek just let the world know they make $200M/yr at 500%+ profit margin.
Revenue (/day): $562k
Cost (/day): $87k
Revenue (/yr): ~$205M
This is all while charging $2.19/M tokens on R1, ~25x less than OpenAI o1.
If this was in the US, this would be a >$10B company.

Everything you love about generative models — now powered by real physics!
Announcing the Genesis project — after a 24-month large-scale research collaboration involving over 20 research labs — a generative physics engine able to generate 4D dynamical worlds powered by a physics simulation platform designed for general-purpose robotics and physical AI applications.
Genesis's physics engine is developed in pure Python, while being 10-80x faster than existing GPU-accelerated stacks like Isaac Gym and MJX. It delivers a simulation speed ~430,000 faster than in real-time, and takes only 26 seconds to train a robotic locomotion policy transferrable to the real world on a single RTX4090 (see tutorial: genesis-world.readthedocs.io…).
The Genesis physics engine and simulation platform is fully open source at github.com/Genesis-Embodied-…. We'll gradually roll out access to our generative framework in the near future.
Genesis implements a unified simulation framework all from scratch, integrating a wide spectrum of state-of-the-art physics solvers, allowing simulation of the whole physical world in a virtual realm with the highest realism.
We aim to build a universal data engine that leverages an upper-level generative framework to autonomously create physical worlds, together with various modes of data, including environments, camera motions, robotic task proposals, reward functions, robot policies, character motions, fully interactive 3D scenes, open-world articulated assets, and more, aiming towards fully automated data generation for robotics, physical AI and other applications.

NEW: Private health insurance corporations are trying to trick seniors across America into signing up for Medicare Advantage.
Is it less expensive? No. Is it better coverage? Also no.
It’s just another way for corporations to skim more money off the ill.
