From farmers I know, crop advisors play a significant, if not the only, role in their irrigation decisions. If smart conservation isn’t practiced by advisors it simply doesn’t happen.

Fertilizer harms soil health? NO! Despite overwhelming data, the myth persists.
Global review by Geisseler & Scow on mineral N ferts of 64 long-term trials. N fertilizer=15% INCREASE microbial biomass, 13% INCREASE SOC. Longer time= better. Watch soil pH lnkd.in/ejP8maR6

What have you been seeing in your fields for freeze damage? Here are some pics I snapped from a field on the Cheyenne/Rawlins Co line on Wednesday. Lots of necrotic leaf tissue, with green growth resuming on some tillers, but not all. Healthy and not-so-healthy heads. 1/3

You're busy, I get it. It's time to drill wheat, gear up for harvest, go to ALL of your kid's activities--it's also time to look at your wheat insurance coverage. You aren't planting the same fields this year, the price isn't the same, so why should your coverage be the same?

Looking to hire a full time farm employee. Will be an equipment operator/irrigator position with upward potential. Deere equipment/AMS experience a plus. Will be dealing with manure/manure water as well. Health insurance after 3 months, pay subject to experience.

Last night we captured surveillance footage of a vandal trying to break in to one of our employee's vehicles in our parking lot. While the suspect is still at large, we took the liberty to have John Curley give his play-by-play of the incident.
