That's a great quote. I'll keep it in mind in the post-AGI phase of my life.

3SAT in subexponential time (2^{n / log^eps(n)}) is maybe the biggest surprise I have seen during my 20 years following theoretical computer science (still remember the feeling 25 years ago seeing the diff a 3 versus a 2 can make for complexity 😅)
We are announcing three new discoveries in mathematics, computer science, and physics about harmonic analysis, complexity theory, and quantum field theory.

Some key points on the Tesla Cybercab from @live_munro’s production line walkthrough:
• Final assembly is about 25 fully automated stations, around 5–10x fewer than a Model Y line.
• The production line is nearly 80% automated.
• Cybercab’s Unboxed Process uses about 50% less floor space per car.
• Right now the line runs faster than robotaxi rollout, so it doesn't run every day.
• There is no paint shop, which Lars says saves Tesla a few hundred million dollars. Wow.
• Cybercab is built to last 500,000 miles.
• 4680 cells in separate potted modules, so a failed module can be swapped instead of the whole pack. It uses a steel enclosure (a first for Tesla) and has room for cheaper LFP cells later.
• It's FWD with an 11:1 gear ratio, since it doesn't need a high top speed. It’s new inverter is also coming to Model 3&Y this year.

A big thank you to @larsmoravy, @EricETesla, and the rest of the Tesla team for taking the time to walk us through the Cybercab and share the engineering, design, and technology behind it.

Revenue per GPU can increase as token prices decline if per GPU token throughput increases enough.
So both Anthropic revenue *and* margins can go up as token prices go down *if* GPU prices go up less than the product of (token price decline * per GPU throughput increase).
But I have super enjoyed all the commentary to the contrary!

The sharp inflection in robotaxi miles...has just started. The beauty of exponential growth.
Barclays just upgraded $TSLA to Overweight with a $450 PT citing a “sharp inflection in Robotaxi miles driven.”
Tesla has now logged nearly 2M unsupervised miles with ~8x growth last quarter while FSD adoption has surpassed 75% on new North American deliveries.

Lars on the Cybercab production line in new interview:
"We actually don’t run the line every day because the line can run so fast it’s currently outpacing our robotaxi deployments, so it’s a bit of a race right now to see who can go faster.”

I am shocked, absolutely shocked, that Anthropic ARR has likely gone vertical in October after they cut token prices.
Except the exact same thing happened for the entire AI market, which is why GPU rental prices have surged while token prices declined.
$100b plus in year-end ARR looks possible again.

Tesla's Cybercab production system has just 25 general assembly stations.
The Model Y line has 5x - 10x as many stations.

It’s pretty crazy that you can run something like this on your laptop. Even if civilization collapses, we’ll *still* be using LLMs!
My friends were all talking about prepping so I made a survival LLM. A free app that runs an AI mdoel plus 1.5 million offline articles (medical guides, FEMA, survival manuals, wikipedia) entirely on your computer. No internet needed.
