Renew NC is looking to connect realtors and property owners with Helene-impacted homeowners who need a safe, stable place to stay while their homes are being repaired or rebuilt. The program offers compensation for this opportunity: ow.ly/S10j50ZZHiI

I’ll work with anyone to lower costs for all North Carolinians. That includes lowering costs for farmers, who have been particularly hard hit by tariffs, rising fuel prices from the war, and drought conditions. It was great to share that message at Hickory Nut Gap Farms.

Since Day 1 in office, I’ve worked to lower costs for North Carolinians.  I vetoed a bill that enables Duke Energy to raise prices, but the General Assembly overrode my veto. For two years, we’ve brought SUN Bucks back and kept kids fed through the summer months while lowering their parents’ grocery bills. I’ve established a Health Care Affordability Commission, signed an Executive Order on housing affordability, and relieved more than $6.5 billion in medical debt. We’re taking real action to lower costs for North Carolina, and the General Assembly needs to join me in this effort.

After sixteen years with nearly complete control of the state, Legislative Republicans have done nothing to make life more affordable for North Carolinians. In fact, they have made life harder and much more expensive for almost everyone. #ncpol #ncga

WE NEED MORE $ FROM CONGRESS. Period. "Unlike past federal disasters where Congress appropriated additional funding rounds through HUD block grants, the state of North Carolina has received only one since Helene, which was for $1.4 billion." #ncpol

Grateful for the invitation to visit the Buncombe 911 Center. I spoke with telecommunicators about their jobs and even did a simulation call. These folks are first responders in every sense of the word & our state laws & benefits should be updated to reflect that 🚑🚒🚔☎️ #ncpol
