Watched the Terrafab presentation and had one thought: mass drivers on the Moon.
So I made the shirt.

The Roman Space Telescope is in orbit and working.
NASA is letting anyone adopt a single pixel from its first images. I adopted one for my wife and me, and one for @AnthropicAI's Claude.
Congratulations to everyone who got this thing flying.

SpaceX just launched one of NASA’s most ambitious science missions ever
Now completed 13 Falcon Heavy missions. 13 successful launches
Another flawless launch from SpaceX
SpaceX's Falcon Heavy is about to send one of humanity’s most powerful eyes on the universe into deep space
NASA’s Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope is ready to launch
Roman experts just gave an overview of what this next-generation observatory is built to discover
Roman will:
• Investigate dark energy and dark matter
• Map billions of galaxies
• Discover and study exoplanets
• Observe black holes and the evolution of the universe
• Capture Hubble-like detail across a field of view at least 100× larger
And now the telescope is sitting on top of a SpaceX Falcon Heavy at Pad 39A
Target launch → August 30 at 7:26 AM EDT
Destination → Sun-Earth L2, about 1 million miles from Earth
NASA and SpaceX have officially declared Roman “go” for launch 🚀

Imagine your protagonist is throwing a dinner party.
Who's at the table? Living, dead, real, fictional?
Are they cooking or quietly panicking and hoping DoorDash arrives before anyone notices?
What makes them laugh? Really laugh.

My father started his Timation Navsat in October 1964 with a $35K grant from NAVAIR. It led to GPS. Great things sometimes have small beginnings.
Well said.
🛰️ GPS III-8 completes a constellation that every smartphone, every ship, every aircraft and every missile guidance system on Earth depends on.
The detail most people never learn is that without Einstein's general relativity corrections built into the software, the entire system would drift by 10 kilometers per day.
A satellite network that underpins the global economy requires corrections from equations written in 1915 by a man who died before the transistor existed.
The final piece of that network launched today on a rocket whose booster landed itself back on the ground to fly again.
Two scientific revolutions separated by a century. Both running simultaneously inside the same mission.

His insights confirmed a lot of what I saw firsthand when I worked in the industry, but genuinely surprised me in a few places.

This photo was taken by astronaut Michael Collins in 1969. With the entire Earth in view, along with the lander carrying Armstrong and Aldrin, Collins was the only human being not in the frame.
We are going to get a new view of Earth from lunar orbit soon.
