It is deeply troubling and disappointing to see an Islamic scholar of such global prominence as Dr. @drzakiranaik rationalise the Taliban’s systematic exclusion of girls from education.
Presenting an indefinite ban as a mere “postponement” and invoking a shortage of female teachers without explaining how that shortage can be addressed is not a credible defence.
Such arguments risk legitimising the Taliban’s gender apartheid and lending religious credibility to a grave injustice.

People have been led to believe they can heal the earth by using paper straws and avoiding plastic bags while the corporations keep destroying the planet unabashedly.
Google has cleared approximately 1,300 acres of forest in Finland to build new AI data centres. Conservationists estimate that 400,000 trees have been felled across two sites, even though the required environmental impact assessments were not complete.
In September, Google announced a €13 billion investment in Finland, promising thousands of jobs, economic growth and environmental restoration.
Yet Finnish authorities have now halted major construction work. Local residents are reporting disruption to wildlife, with one resident describing wolves entering her village after the forest clearance.
How can a company promising a greener, more sustainable future destroy so much forest before completing environmental assessments?
Investment and technological progress are important, but at what environmental cost? And who will be held accountable?
