This is all beginning to rapidly resemble the debate around the assisted dying bill.

From what I can see of the relationship between Zip codes and population/population density, there will likely be benefits to forcing insurers onto a more granular mechanism for pricing their premiums, even if that's not the motive here.

Nervo would appear to have been manipulated into pursuing someone else's activist agenda to both own detriment and that of her child.

The Nervo case is a matter of public record via an appeal court judgment which names both parties - judiciary.uk/wp-content/uplo… Needless to say, the idea that Maugham is interfering in this case is very concerning once you read the facts.

The core facts in one of the cases referred to by GLP (Nervo) are set out in this appeal court judgment on a disputed costs order, in which both parties are named - judiciary.uk/wp-content/uplo… That Maugham is anywhere near this case is a matter of genuine concern.

The obvious difference here is that Savile - one 'L' - is dead and can't sue for libel, which is why a competent lawyer would advise the OP to shut the fuck up, or words to that effect.

Inquest was opened and adjourned with no date set, yet, for further proceedings and no confirmation of cause of death.

Does that extend to their media lawyers, who'll be the one's checking for potential liabilities in the content of the documentary before it airs?

There are a couple of significant points of interest here. First, Cass's statement suggests that the PB arm of the trial is based squarely bon the original proposal for the Dutch Protocol, which was designed specifically for early onset cases and only early onset cases. This means that the UK trial will deviate from the original Dutch Protocol trial, which went beyond the proposal an included later presentation cases in its female cohort. This isn't made explicit in the descriptive section of the original study paper (De Vries, 2011) but is referred to in the discussion:- "At baseline, gender dysphoric natal males were younger and showed less problem behavior than natal females. With a mean age of 14, most natal females had developed breasts and had their menarche." Second, this aligns well with the 2013 Steensma paper on persistence/desistence which notes that:- "When asked with what sex they identified (“Are you a boy or a girl?”), children who expressed cross-gender identification had a greater chance of persisting GD. This seems to be in concordance with the underlying motives reported by the persisters and desisters in the qualitative study by Steensma et al.2 Persisters indicated that they believed that they were the “other” sex, and the desisters indicated they wished they were the “other” sex; this difference may also underlie our finding of a higher report of cognitive cross-gender identification in the persisters than in the desisters;" Before adding:- "Childhood social transitions were important predictors of persistence, especially among natal boys. Social transitions were associated with more intense GD in childhood, but have never been independently studied regarding the possible impact of the social transition itself on cognitive representation of gender identity or persistence." If the trial can examine the role of social transition in any depth then we may well be getting somewhere in terms of useful data.
