Certain bodies must not repeat themselves in the dawn. Men do not fight for tons of steel. This, sir, is my resignation. The desperate die expensively today.

one of the famous things with shock troops though is you donโ€™t actually put them in charge of anything
make fun of Maoists and anarchists all you want but when shit gets wild you donโ€™t call a socdem, you call an ultra. weโ€™re the leftโ€™s shock troops

One thing that is very important to remember that is that you are not part of a โ€˜communityโ€™ by virtue of being a poet/short story writer/novelist tweeting on twitter. You enter in community by making things together with people; one wouldnโ€™t call a pile of bricks a house.

you can see everything is, in part, about how spotting a work doesn't neccesarily break the spell of getting worked. the pleasures of it & the irreconcilable parsing too strong. knowing kayfabe doesn't break it bc it's a fusion w/ reality. oh but the riches found in the pursuit

Back when Time Warner was a thing, it had a function on the guide to block shows from being watched and you couldn't remove it (probably could but I was a dumbass 10 year old) and I tested that function on poor Oswald. Never saw that funny octopus again kinda ruined my life.
Proof the shows we watched as kids were lower stimulation

The word โ€˜vermilionโ€™ traces to the Late Latin โ€˜vermiculus,โ€™meaning "kermes." Kermes are the dried bodies of insects used to produce this ancient red dye.
I canโ€™t really explain this, but onomatopoeically vermillion should be a shade of green

Pet peeve of mine is adults that make a very big deal about their birthdays & expect that their friends are obligated to participate
My friend wants to plan a couples, no-kids weekend getaway, splitting the cost of a large AirBNB, in January for her 30th birthday. I really do not love this idea (husband is mortified), neither to spend the money nor to get someone to take the toddler for 3 days. It would be a 2.5 hour drive away for us, too, so itโ€™s not like weโ€™re close if something happens. I havenโ€™t been away from him for even 1 night yet and he still just seems so young! It would be very hard to leave him for that long. Am I just a party pooper who needs to get over it? Genuine question. Like I actually need advice here guys
