Opays rates are not comparable to prevailing Nigerian rates.
They are only comparable to predatory loan sharks.
Wema, GT, even mfbs like LAPO lend you at 3-4% per month. Opay is a whooping 18% per month!
They can write off loans whatever because they are already make a killing on performing loans.
Meanwhile, OPay wrote off $113 million in loans in six months recently. Loans to ordinary Nigerians without fucking collateral, the kind of loans conventional Nigerian lenders would never tolerate. And OPay’s lending rates are actually comparable to prevailing Nigerian rates.
Complete fucking bozos. No need for another epistle. A lot of Nigerians are so intellectually bankrupt that these Chinese people should just let them find out what life looks like without the opportunities they take for granted.
