Ohhhh yes. Can anyone recall the wording of the main complaint about the @_nhos_ branding? Oh yes: "the public is likely to believe that there is a connection ... or approval ... by the DoH of NHS" and "the NHS brand has substantial goodwill and reputation attached to it".

.@RoyLilley the MINIMUM number of not at all integrated IT applications that I need for one outpatient consult need 2 screens. Used to be one set of paper notes with up to date results filed in place before clinic by admin Progress or Entropy? Entropy @JohnLauner @griffglen

I fullly supported we at @_nhos_ as an altruistic initiative to create a platform which could save the #NHS hundred of millions, however as I understood things, the project had recently been abandoned after pressure applied by the NHS over naming/branding that ignored the value

A volunteer project to build a version of Linux for free use by the NHS has been tragically shut down by two C&D letters from UK Govt. I can't help but see the coincidence with the latest national licencing deal for Microsoft cloud. NHS once more outsourcing when it could own... teapaw.org/_nhos_/status/95376506…

#FF for all the nice guys that worked hard at @_nhos_ to provide a viable, secure & competitive alternative to MS Windows for the #NHS. We did such a good job that @nhscio used it to get a discount from Microsoft confirming that in any case #OpenSource saves money and lives ;-)

I wouldn't say we are #Linux nerds but as #CIO (Chief Italian Officer) of @_nhos_ I can say that the team has been able to prove #OpenSource & Linux, both on server & desktop, are the best hope #NHS has to increase security, reduce costs while satisfying users needs. teapaw.org/TheRegister/status/953…
