In this week's #Parallax, I argue that IISc should be Isro’s #JPL! India’s space ambitions need a stronger bridge between fundamental research & space missions. @isro & @iiscbangalore already have the foundations. India now needs to build on them. Link: shorturl.at/bAyMt

Thanks @ndtv for hosting me! I greatly enjoyed the chat with @ShivAroor and @shivkuma_k. My closing remarks: India cannot grow into a "research superpower" in isolation. That growth is inherently coupled with two other important sectors: economy and education.

Does innovation occur in podcast talks? So if I listened to an English podcast an innovation will occur in the podcast? Asking for a friend
Two hours of Sanskrit AI talk, and somehow the biggest innovation is that the conversation happened in Sanskrit. 💀

The prof is question is a founder of an AI startup. Same old trick being played here where celebrating our heritage is given a negative spin.
America: we'll develop the best frontier models. China: we'll develop the cheapest frontier models. India:

Question is whether anyone would have objected to a podcast in any other language … say german … would that be an occasion to make fun of them saying Americans r doing this .. chinese r doing that.

This is Italy. All over "Regime Change" Ops are propelled by the belief that street power can override electoral power. Q: WHY DO SOCIALISTS, TRADE UNIONS, LEFT GROUPS RESORT TO RIOTING? Answer: That's because some radical Left movements regard parliamentary democracy as insufficient to deliver structural change. AREN'T THESE THE EXACT SENTIMENTS OF YOGENDRA, BHUSHAN, BORA?

This is what the global be-my-slave-or-we-do-regime-change group also wants for India. Riots and destruction. While they preach morality their final game is simply power. The left is a virus, which simply wants to retain power while dressed as sheep.
A piece of France’s history, gone in seconds—The 143-year-old bell tower of Limoges Town Hall collapses in flames amid protest violence. Built in 1883. Survived nearly a century and a half. Gone.

This RDI fund is a fundamental gamechanger to India’s deeptech ecosystem. Its impact will be felt in the years to come. Congratulations to this cohort, specially to @artparkindia

Indigenising high value tech for space is one of the key needs today. Clearing thermo-vac and vibration tests for its made-in-india fast-steering-mirror is imp milestone for Qosmic. May tbis tribe grow.
Nine months ago, this did not exist. Today, India can build its own Fast Steering Mirror. QOSMIC’s FSM has cleared thermal vacuum and vibration qualification, both on the first attempt. The FSM is the fine-pointing core of every optical link: satellite to ground, satellite to satellite, ground to ground. It holds a laser locked on target while everything around it moves, making hundreds of tiny corrections every second. To put that precision in perspective: lay a grid over Rashtrapati Bhavan. From 500 km above your head, our FSM is designed to point a laser link at any single point on it. Only two or three suppliers worldwide build this class of hardware. So we built ours. From nothing to space-qualified in under a year. Built to survive launch. Now it waits for one 👀 #ICSO2026 #ICSO #NewSpaceIndia #OpticalCommunications #LaserCommunication @Jain_Shrey_ @RohitKR79 @aalokelab @shashank_huh @js_2606 @Accel @AccelAtoms @AccelIndia @spc_india @spc @artparkindia

BTW, news reports indicate that Starlink was used by Drug smugglers & militants in sensitive areas in India
Unfortunately, we are being blocked by certain oligarchs in order to maintain their monopolistic chokehold on the Indian people. You can guess who they are … This is a crime against the people of India!

You are looking at the wrong end of the pipe, watch out for @AgnikulCosmos @SkyrootA @Digantarahq @VyomIC_Space @GalaxEye @QOSMIC__Space @inspecity @astrobase_space and many more @INSPACeIND @isro Thanks in a small way to the US too, for closing the immigration pathway and pushing back so much talent to India! Unfortunately the way SpaceX capabilities have been weaponized makes it a suspect company. India and the business landscape here has many problems with the so-called oligarchs and conglomerates, but SpaceX cribbing about being blocked from India because of them is the least of our concerns! We remember the nefarious and infamous “Free Basics” pushed by Facebook and other patronizing, new colonization efforts by US Big Tech. India is not falling for it! You won’t be able to turn Indians against Indians like the British did. But surely it is a great thing for Indian citizens and consumers if some Indian conglomerates are pushing back against SpaceX with the Indian government’s blessings. 🚀 🇮🇳

A girl from IIT Bombay who was there during the incident has shared the whole story.🚨 Q: Were you and Sahil in the same course? And were you there when the professor caught him cheating? Girl: Yes, we were in the same course. Around 1 PM, the Suryanarayana sir caught Sahil cheating. He didn’t shout at him. He said, “What are you doing? This is unfair to other students. Don’t panic. Everyone makes mistakes.”👏 Q: But many are saying Prof. Suryanarayana discriminated against students based on caste? Girl: Never. Suryanarayana sir was one of the best prof. we had. He always taught us with jokes in between and never treated anyone differently. My grades in Power Electronics have improved a lot because of him.🥺💛
