I rarely share fundraisers. But this one is personal. We’re just over €4,000 away from rebuilding the R&D lab of the 3rd Assault Brigade, together with HELP99 @69thSB and Resilience Media. Last September, Oleksandr — an active soldier from the brigade — spent an entire weekend mentoring at our @Eurodefensetech Hackathon in London. He traveled all the way from Ukraine, challenged ideas, gave direct feedback, and pushed the hackathon teams to focus on what actually works under real conditions. A ruzzian missile strike destroyed the lab where his unit does exactly that kind of work every day. Now it’s our turn to support Oleksandr and his unit — not just by rebuilding the lab, but by enabling them to prototype, test, and deploy systems that protect the skies and save lives. I've contributed already. If you can as well, it truly makes a difference. And as long as the campaign runs, €100 contributions come with a limited Ukrainian-made #NAFO patch, created by the unit itself. Stand with Oleksandr. Slava Ukraini 🇺🇦

Working on the media and party side 🥳
In the future there will only be three kinds of companies: 1. Media-public-relations-film-production-venture capital-firm-party-producer. 2. Vertically integrated space-based robot manufacturing heavy machinery company. 3. AI porn gambling slop IV ketamine therapy provider The existence of #1 will be predicated on selling the vision of #2 to a hive mind of of AI's that derive their funds from operating #3.

Anton Verkhovodov from D3 Venture Capital Firm reviewed more than 700 startups across Ukraine and the EU. One pattern stands out: The areas that matter most on the battlefield—autonomy and the electromagnetic spectrum—remain dramatically underserved by founders. If you missed his talk at our @NewDefenseHQ Summit, here are some opportunities Anton highlighted: 👉 Counter-UAS for specific missions: anti-FPV, anti-ISR, anti-Shahed, and other mission-specific CONOPS that require new sensing and targeting approaches 👉 Mission-level orchestration: not “a drone,” but integrated capabilities that fuse ISR, EW, and strike into a single operational stack 👉 True autonomy: navigation without GNSS, terminal guidance without human input, edge decision-making, and coordinated swarming 👉 Next-generation RF & EW: compact, attritable, unjammable radios; intelligent jamming; BVLOS ELINT; novel radar architectures tailored to specific missions 👉 Software that replaces legacy incumbents: focused products that outperform slow-moving platforms in real combat environments While attention has largely flowed into drones and drone components, the data tells a different story about where the next breakthroughs will emerge 💥 Learn more from the full article on The New Defense Post

Europe has a choice: Will we let external pressures divide us, or will we seize this moment to unite even stronger? The world is watching. Are we ready to show them what a truly united Europe can do?

Anyone want to start a new movement with me progressing European Independence? There's been a lot of noise over the past few days about US-Europe relations and one thing is very clear - we can't (and shouldn't) rely on the US anymore. Europe needs to stand on its own two feet. At the moment we're entirely dependent on other countries for the entirely of our tech stack. Chips, data centres, LLMs, cloud infrastructure etc.... are all US providers. The same has been true for defence. To fix this we need to build and buy European. The first step is to stop making the situation worse. The UK, Germany and Greece have all signed partnerships with OpenAI to use its technology within public services. Agreements like this are only going to make us more dependent on the US. We need to push back and pressure governments to buy European and to get the continent investing in companies that are building European alternatives. The success that @andreasklinger and @euinc_petition are having shows that we can make change in Europe. We just have to be willing to work for it. If you're keen to join let me know.

A group of prominent Belgian professors made a strong case in local media that using immobilized assets to aid Ukraine is legal. I hope @Bart_DeWever will hear them. lesoir.be/714850/article/202…

"Cultivating resistance to Europe’s current trajectory within European nations" If you haven’t read pages 25–27 of the new U.S. National Security Strategy, here's the gist: Europe is in "economic decline," facing a "stark prospect of civilizational erasure," and "should present trends continue, the continent will be unrecognizable in 20 years or less ..." Oh, and Washington? It’s ready to cut a deal with ruzzia to “stabilize” Eurasia, and cultivate resistance to Europe's current trajectory WITHIN European nations Let that sink in. The Kremlin couldn’t have written a better script. Oh, wait—they did! TL;DR: "We’ve given up on you. Here’s our proposal to appease Moscow instead." If Europe doesn’t push back, someone else will write its future. And right now, the current U.S. administration seems eager to help ... Time to prove them wrong 🔥

The Russians started the war, and there is no other way to put it. The whole world is a witness. They came with aggression to destroy us. We stopped them. Europe helped, America helped. Russia failed to occupy Ukraine first and foremost because of the strength of the Ukrainian people – warriors and civilians – and, of course, thanks to our partners. The United States says that a lot of blood has been shed and it’s enough. And we fully support them. But we must end this war in a way that prevents Russia from coming back a year later with a third invasion. They did not achieve their goal of occupying our country. But I am not sure their objectives have changed. They may simply hold up and we need protection for that. What will happen tomorrow when our warriors come back home? When they once again become teachers, engineers, people of different professions? They will return, and Russia will continue building up its military strength, preparing for yet another invasion. This is why we want clarity. This is what Ukrainians need.

You met him at our European Defense Tech Hackathon in London this September — now it’s our chance to support him and his unit 🦾 Oleksandr, an active Ukrainian soldier in the Air Defense Division of the 3rd Assault Brigade, spent the weekend at our hackathon mentoring hackers, sharing frontline insights, and pushing everyone to aim higher. A ruzzian missile strike destroyed his unit’s R&D facility, wiping out the place where they prototype, iterate, and build the means to protect the skies Now it's our time to support Oleksandr and his unit! Together with HELP99 @69thSB and Resilience Media, we're rallying with an initial goal of €35,000 to rebuild and accelerate their work — and aiming higher if the community steps in 🚀 Contributions of €100 come with a limited Ukrainian-made hashtag#NAFO patch created by the unit. If you want to back someone who showed up for our community and is building tech that directly protects lives, now’s the moment. Stand with Oleksandr. Slava Ukraini 🇺🇦

Building something promising this weekend at the Warsaw hackathon — or already running a defense startup that’s ready for scale? 🚀 Check out the 17Tech Defence Accelerator, a 4-month program designed to help teams go from prototype to operational capability with: 👉 Battlefield validation and testing in Ukraine 👉 Business and technology development support 👉 Connections to defence forces and end users in Finland and NATO 👉 Initial funding and access to investors This is a strong pathway for teams aiming to transition from early-stage innovation to real deployment and adoption P.S. If you want to meet Antti Kosunen and Joonas Vesterinen from 17Tech, they’ll be at our Warsaw hackathon this weekend 🤗
