I am really loving The Basin's coverage. Knowledgeable about the mechanics of politics and able to target that to the key issues. So helpful and useful.
Another area worth a look is right around the Lineage fire On election night, Bass led none of the 12 precincts within 3 miles of the site, and only 2 of the 30 within 4

Turning off comments when you proudly state that you like to do your social media fighting on instagram!
So... this Nithya Raman congratulations post from Imelda Padilla doesn't allow comments. That's at least notable, since Padilla's Instragram account spent a bit of time jousting in the comment sections of Nithya Raman's campaign posts. squawkbox.la/i/211065724/aft…

Mexicans have insane awareness around if it’s noon or not. I could say “buenas tardes” at 11:48am and without missing a beat or checking the clock they’ll respond with “buenos días.”

I don't think residents of LA County realize how lucky we are to have the @LACountyRRCC. They are the gold standard for civic engineering. Everything from how they count votes to how they provide information, the formats they provide it in, and ease of finding it.

Bass being a congresswoman who returned to run for the LA mayoral race always raised red flags for me, like, who does the bizarre Congress->Mayor career pathway anyway?
Replying to @UnrigLA
Bass could have coasted in Congress for the next 2 decades & lived the geriatric DC dream. My main beef w/ her had nothing to do w/ performance, ideology, or accomplishments. It was her underming all charter reform efforts that could have given her/LA a better chance at success.

People are still really upset about Spencer losing. It has been months, babe, get over it.
I'm really disappointed that the misinformation campaign against an actual activist with real credentials won. LA really electing an evil racist rich transplant as mayor because she promised a bunch of bullshit. She's not progressive and accomplished nothing.

Does this make her LA's new most popular politician?
Marissa Roy now has more votes than any candidate in LA City history Her 514,447 votes for city attorney passed the 513,288 Kenneth Mejia won for controller in 2022 With ballots are still being counted
