Premier Ford faced tough questions on the alleged misuse of public money on the first day of the fall sitting.
Ford defended Stan Cho’s $22,500 pay bump.: "I fired him from being a minister. He admitted he made a mistake. He's paid it back, and now he's going to be a parliamentary assistant."
He also insisted his government was quick to act to stop "fraudsters" from exploiting the OSAP system

I feel like Jared Kushner being at the center of the plot that ultimately led to an American journalist being dismembered via bone saw while he was still alive should be a much bigger deal than our billionaire owned news media is making of it.

Alex Pretti's father: Our son was shot and killed by the government, federal immigration agents, on January 24th, 2026. We learned about his death from the media as we saw him being shot repeatedly in the back after helping a woman from his community. This was not a protest that Alex was at. His hands were in the air, and his face was on the ground when he was executed by ICE agents. We know exactly what our eyes saw. No one from the federal government called us on that day. But they did go on TV to tell lies about Alex. No one has called us since. No one has recanted those lies.
Abolish the Indian Act. We have nothing to lose but our chains.
We will, of course, need new legislation that is an interface between the Federal government and First Nations. And this MUST be created alongside Chiefs and First Nation governments every step of the way. But it is time to move past the era of this outdated, racist, and patriarchal legislation.
I support Prime Minister Carney’s work to position Canada as a global leader in human rights and democracy. The Indian Act is inconsistent with achieving that vision.
Our laws at home should reflect the values we champion around the world.
It’s time for a relationship with First Nations people that reflects who we are as Canadians today, recognizes nationhood, and lives up to the true nature of reconciliation.

NEW: I asked Health Minister Sylvia Jones why cancer patients like 31-yr-old Sabrina Apitz-Grossman are being denied funding for potentially life-saving treatment abroad.
Jones defended the government's decision to tighten its rules for funding out-of-country drug treatments.

Every single union in this province needs to stand in solidarity with the teacher's unions and create a #GeneralStrike.
Only then are we going to see the changes that workers can enact when they employ meaningful protest tactics.
Every major Ontario teachers’ union has a strike vote scheduled for this November. #canlab

@RobFlackEML ‘s appointed puppet will be chased out of Waterloo Region. Get out!
Yesterday, I registered as a candidate for Waterloo Regional Chair. Waterloo Region is not interested in having our Chair appointed by the Province. How’s @fordnation planning to make money from this one? Or is it just that he can do more mob boss style stuff when his friends have access to this info digitally? Or both?

Ontario is half a trillion in debt.
Interest payment on debt is the fourth-largest line item in the provincial budget.
It's fantastic for the bust out. It leaves Ontario broke, in debt, with no assets to sell.
A bankrupt government can't provide government services, see...
Ontario's Fall Economic Statement drops one week from today.
The Finance Minister says deficits will be deeper, but there are red lines the Ford government won't cross to get back in the black.

NEW: Education Minister Paul Calandra tells me he's "very excited" to have Stan Cho on his team, and that the "quality of his work since he's been an MPP is literally second to none."
Premier Ford announced Cho will be joining Calandra’s team as a parliamentary assistant — just three months after Cho resigned from cabinet for charging taxpayers $16,000 in Toronto hotel stays.
The new role comes with a $22,500 pay bump. Ford declined to comment. Story: thetrillium.ca/insider-news/…

This is deeply concerning. Brad Bradford is simply another Ford lackey here simply so Doug can have more power to sell off Ontarios natural resources to his southern DaddyDJT. Do not trust Brad BradFORD or Doug Ford. Never forget..... ➡️#DOUGFORDISMAGA

To really understand modern right wing populism you need to go back to where it all began and who they influenced. They are all connected by the same Harper and Trumpian conservative ambition for power and control without having the real skills to lead.

Baby Anhelina and her mom Inna were buried today.
Anhelina's stroller was put into her grave together with her. She was in the stroller when the Russian drone attacked.
Baby Anhelina and her mom Inna were killed by Russia yesterday.
Anhelina was just over a year old. Her mom, Inna Mariukhna, was a primary school teacher. They were in the park in Nova Vodolaha, Kharkiv region, when a Russian drone attacked.
Little Anhelina was killed in her stroller. Her mom died of her injuries in hospital.
Another girl killed in the strike was just 11 years old.
Six people lost their lives from that Russian strike. All of them had simply been spending time in the park. At least 15 more were injured, including seven kids.
Deepest condolences...
