I repeat, I am a tax-paying permanent resident and my only family member, my 65 year old mother, is being held at the border because UKBA say the fact that she is visiting me is suspicious? Why? @sajidjavid @DavidLammy @hammersmithandy @mcashmanCBE

She has held valid visas for the UK for 10+ years and her visa was recently renewed in May 2018 for 5 years. I fail to understand why she is being treated in this way. I am a tax-paying permanent resident and I can't even have my only family member visit me?

@sajidjavid I am a UK permanent resident (indefinite leave to remain). My mother visiting from India has just been held at LHR because she is here "too often". She has NEVER exceeded her 180 day allowance. Why is she being targeted? @DavidLammy @hammersmithandy

Trump appears unbowed in his quest to continue escalating trade tensions regardless of what anyone says. As the economic fallout builds, the political fallout will, too — and both could reach a peak around election time. A look at where we might be headed: bit.ly/2uSUmFt – at Washington, DC
