150000 Chinese students spread across all #UK #Universities and how many are sending back tech information to #China ? But hey #Labour want to prepare for war with #Russia, that have been supplying Oil & Gas to EU ever since they started war with #Ukraine over the killing of Russians in the #Donbas. UK cannot afford to fund a proxy war.

May the bloodthirsty warmongers, who push for a war that never ends, burn in hell!
Elon Musk warned about the Ukraine war years ago, and it's absolutely tragic how accurately he predicted the devastating cost of human lives from this conflict Back in October 2022, Elon didn't just call for peace. He actually proposed a peace plan involving UN-supervised votes in occupied regions, recognizing Crimea as Russian, guaranteeing its water supply, and Ukraine remaining neutral He warned that continuing this war would bring devastating death and destruction, with countless young Ukrainians and Russians losing their lives And look at what's happened since then More than 2 MILLION military casualties, entire cities destroyed, millions of people forced from their homes, and the war is still going on with no lasting peace Elon faced enormous backlash for proposing a path toward peace, but the human cost he warned about has become an absolutely horrifying reality And that's what makes this so tragic. These are human beings with parents, families, loved ones, and entire lives ahead of them, not disposable pieces on some geopolitical chessboard How many more young people have to die in trenches before ending this endless slaughter becomes just as important as deciding who wins the war? Elon saw the devastating human cost of a prolonged war coming years ago, and instead of taking his warning seriously, people attacked him for even putting a peace proposal on the table Just imagine how many lives could have been saved if a lasting peace had been reached years earlier How much more death and destruction will it take before ending this meat grinder becomes the priority??

Elon went straight nuclear. Called the guy a retard, said people like him want the war to drag on until every last Ukrainian dies in a ditch, and labeled them utter scum of the Earth. No filter. Just raw. And dead-on accurate.
Replying to @johnhawkinsrwn
Yeah, this retard is so fucking dumb that he doesn’t realize that our policies serve the Ukrainian people. Pieces of shit like this want the war to continue until every last man in Ukraine has died in a ditch. They are utter scum of the Earth.

Presumably an average MP has sufficient imagination to realise it could be them with a cancer diagnosis trying and failing to navigate a folic acid free diet one day. Worth a try?
Send this folic acid cancer letter to your MP. @RupertLowe10

Receiving a letter like this should be a cue to leave immediately. A voracious state is sizing up everything you have, with the intention of punitively snatching it if you dare to try and escape their clutches. Sinister stuff.
HMRC has quietly sent hundreds of letters to wealthy people asking them to reveal what they own. Not what they earn or what tax they've paid, but what they own. Here's what's going on. A unit called the Wealthy Team covers anyone with "incomes of £200,000 or more, or assets equal to or above £2m in any of the last three years". That's about 850,000 people. The letters ask for a meeting to discuss "sources of wealth", "future intentions", trusts, companies, family arrangements and even "significant life events" you expect in the coming years. It is presented as voluntary, but there's a nudge: "We may still need to carry out compliance checks on your tax returns. However, speaking with you first may help avoid this." Until now, inspectors have usually only asked about income and earnings. Experts call this a "sea change". One lawyer asked the obvious question: "does HMRC have a right to know what someone owns and not simply that they have paid the right amount of tax?" A tax adviser said: "No other G20 country asks for this level of detail from its taxpayers about what they own." So what is it for? Advisers suspect it is groundwork for an exit tax, a charge on your wealth for leaving the country. As one put it: "Building that knowledge could indeed be part of moving towards an exit tax." You don't have to be a billionaire to see the problem.

Oh my goodness, unbelievable. This page contains transcripts of CDC call center data for vaccine injury, TEN THOUSAND PAGES in just this one file, every every single interaction exactly the same. The CDC says: "Get care from a doctor or other healthcare professional." I'm over here screaming. ican-public.s3.amazonaws.com…

The same weather as 900 years ago is not an indication of "climate change"
"In 1132, not only did the rivers dry up, but the ground cracked and became baked to the hardness of stone. The Rhine in Alsace nearly dried up. ... During the battle of Bela, in 1200, there were more victims made by the sun than by weapons" google.com/books/edition/Gai…

Ukraine is a money laundering machine for the elites and a meat grinder for the commoners. The moment the money stops the meat grinding stops. Simple.

Winter wheat emerging - drilled speculatively as current price means a loss. Absolute madness. Almost nobody in Parliament understands the deep shit British farmers are in, through no fault of our own. It is all apocalyptically difficult right now.

You have Irish people holding ethnic grudges 170 years later but somehow the Afghans and Syrians we bombed 15 minutes ago are going to be chill next door neighbours. Multi-ethnic societies are inherently risky.
Depends who's being "genocided". And do you recognise the famine as a genocide against the Irish by your people?

I've been to several events in the past few weeks where people (often working for network operators) talk up the idea that CP2030 will save people money but only if there's a massive increase in grid infrastructure Under the regulated asset base (RAB) model, network operators earn an allowed return on the value of their regulated assets The larger the asset base, the greater the absolute return they can earn Capital investment increases the RAB, allowing operators to recover depreciation and financing costs through consumer bills over many years This creates a strong incentive to favour capital expenditure and asset growth, even where cheaper alternatives might exist, because a larger RAB means higher potential profits for network companies So next time you hear this nonsense about how if only we spend a few more £billions we'll all be better off, think about who is saying it... Renewables operators earn their income from subsidies... The more renewables we plan the more subsidies are up for grabs Network operators earn their income through a regulated return on the asset base... The more new infrastructure that is built the more money that make All of this gets recovered through bills CP2030 cui bono? Not consumers, that's for sure @Dieter_Helm explains that we actually do need to spend on infrastructure but a lot of that is to upgrade existing infrastructure that is old and either not performing well now or at risk of retirement This I agree with. Also that to do it effectively we must cut regulation. It cannot be the case that we put lives at risk due to decrepit infrastructure because we're trying to protect a few newts, bats or fish dieterhelm.co.uk/publication…

I’ve written many times about how the soft left on Labour’s backbenches are ‘economic illiterates’. This is proof positive. Beyond redemption in its misunderstanding of markets, supply, demand, taxes.
Nope, that’s not how taxes and price works. The price is determined by demand and supply. Companies charge the highest price they can given demand. A tax levied on *profits* does not affect a company’s cost ie supply. Taxes on *windfall* profits (like oil and gas) are the most efficient kind of tax there is.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Corporate profit taxes do not directly shift marginal costs but empirical studies show partial pass-through into higher consumer prices. Windfall taxes on oil and gas have deterred investment and production in practice despite theoretical efficiency on rents. dadun.unav.edu/server/api/cor… ecb.europa.eu/pub/pdf/scpwps… taxfoundation.org/blog/big-oil-p… scottishfinancialreview.com/2025/09/03/win…

Restore Britain is an unashamedly pro-shooting party. It is a vital part of rural Britain, helping supply British game to local butchers, restaurants, pubs and households. It supports gamekeepers, farmers, rural businesses, food processors, hospitality jobs and more. It pumps millions and millions into parts of rural Britain that are entirely forgotten by Westminster - very often at times of the year when otherwise local businesses would perish. We want to see more British game on dinner tables, at home but also across the public sector. Let’s serve more game in our schools, hospitals and other public sector institutions. Why not? Rather than importing cheap meat from the other side of the planet. Use what we have here. A Restore Britain Government will proudly celebrate the food produced in our countryside and the people whose livelihoods depend on it. Something urban MPs, the vast majority of them, will never understand. Restore Britain supports responsible shooting.

🚨Bridget Phillipson DESTROYED “Government money is taxpayers’ money.” Conservative MP Nigel Huddleston reminds Labour minister that every pound the government spends comes from taxpayers, as public frustration grows over rising taxes and how their money is redistributed.

This is indeed one of the main reasons that Starlink must remain a civilian operation. It can be used for infrastructure that is military, but it cannot be used for unequivocally offensive strikes that make it fair game to be struck back. An adversary blowing up Starlink satellites would create a domino effect of destruction that would generate a vast field of debris making space unusable.

This is just increasing Gov spending in a marginally different way. I don't know why @CommonsSpeaker has no power to stop the Labour Party ignoring the HoC almost entirely. Our voted representatives are there but are now used as voting fodder for the lobby nothing more.
