A few years ago I got obsessed with mantis shrimp and wanted to make an origami model of one.
The structure of the crease pattern (the rough layout, anyway) came to me in a dream.
I woke up at 3 am, started drawing in my sketchbook and by sunrise I had the pattern ready. 😵💫
