Replying to @USTreasury
@USTreasury is spinning up the gears of YCC. Today’s motions are modest. They are trying to buy time IMHO.
“Yield control” is A LOT sooner than everyone thinks.

The Fed is powerful ... but it can't do anything about higher auto insurance, higher home insurance, higher health insurance, higher electricity costs and a bunch of other things.
A global health crisis + a change in how & where we live + a few trillion in stimulus + a war around energy outweighs even a hefty Fed.
Unless the economy tanks - and thankfully it doesn't look like it will - prices aren't going to come down.
I'm sorry.

Interesting observation:
Number of Employees
FBI: 38,000
Fed Reserve: 24,000
Now I find myself asking: what do Fed employees do?

Gambling on sports is not the same as investing in the stock market. Anyone who tells you otherwise is lying to you. Stay away from the sports gambling. Focus on what’s real and what’s actually important. Your family will thank you.

If Trump’s Tariffs are overturned in Aug (or there about), we’re looking at ~2.7TRN deficit
…or >50% deficit spend into the public pockets.
Unprecedented
…and it will feel great
Until the long end stops holding
And it will feel awful, quickly.

The US has been at war with one random Middle East country after another for my entire adult life. It’s baffling that there are people who want this to continue. Can we focus on own problems for a change? Is that such a radical suggestion?
