We started SillyCuts to make hardware prototyping easier. Getting to do that in person with incredible builders is exactly why we do this.
A big thank you to @usesillycuts SillyCuts, and especially @AskBaluBabu and @IKnowJoy
They didn't just offer design support from a distance.
They personally came to the Hardware First hacker house, worked alongside the builders and helped solve real product design challenges.
The difference between a prototype and a usable product often comes down to details like these.
Thank you for being there and making things happen.

Last one week has been all hardware at TFC.
@hardwarefirst_
We hosted 8 hardware builders for 6 days, they brought their projects in making, took help from other builders / mentors and finished.
Definitely one of the coolest events we have done.
Thanks to @captvenk and @pcbcupid for co-creating :)

We tried something. Brought 8 hardware builders together, gave them 6 days, a place to stay, tools, mentors, and the freedom to build.
Tomorrow, they’ll put their creations out for the world to try.
Come meet them. Your presence will mean a lot.

then we again spoke during one of the weekly weekly demo day
then in blr in zohouse during a casual catch-up
and then again on the final demo day of tfc cohort.
now seeing it happen over last the 4 days with such amazing builders, this feels like a nature's plan 🧘

The moment you share an idea, the world is sittingready to put you down. Trust your own thinking, or one'll end up in a rabbit hole of self-doubt. Surround yourself with people who offer both honest criticism and genuine encouragement. You need both to grow.

everyone agrees that india needs hardware initiatives like these. @CaptVenk, @buildwithsrini and @akperala are trying to pull off something so cool. success of this surely leads to bigger things.
calling out for sponsors. every penny worth.
We didn’t expect finding sponsors to be this hard, especially for an offline program helping serious hardware builders turn their projects into products people can try.
Finding the right builders and partners seemed like the hard part. That turned out to be easy.
We now have 6 builders, 7 mentors and 8 partners. We’re looking for 4 sponsors at ₹50,000 each. Sponsors will be featured in co-branded content, videos documenting the builds, and on the support wall backdrop for our podcast shoots.
If you’d like to back a slot or support us in kind, DM me or @akperala, @buildwithsrini or @JaswanthBeere.
The cohort starts on Nov 1, with product trials and a showcase on Nov 6.
