Reminder: Alberta hired 1,000 of temporary workers it's referendum. BC and Quebec also hire 1,000s for their elections. How bad would the October employment numbers have been if those three provinces didn't have votes in October?
The Labour Force Survey for October just came out, and all the job metrics are all trending in the wrong direction.
The number of people working is going down. There were 4,700 less people working last month. This follows declines in September (-68,000; -0.3%) and August (-42,000; -0.2%).
The employment rate.... the percentage of the population aged 15 years and older who are employed....decreased 60.5% in October, marking a third consecutive monthly decline. That means that 40% of the people who could work, are not.
Meanwhile the labour force is increasing, all because of immigration.
We can't afford to bring in more people....we just can't.

Only 4 out of 9 recommendations were communicated to the rest of Calgary City Council...from a report that Nenshi says he never saw.
Transparency and reallocating funds away from water maintenance, were 2 of them that didn't.
“Ward 13 Coun. Dan McLean, said the report is pretty damning for the former Calgary mayor, who is now leader of the Alberta NDP.
“They buried that report,” he said.
“There were parts that were
released and parts that weren’t released. Council was kept in the dark, so that is a big problem.
If you know there’s a report that is critical and you bury some pieces of it and release other pieces, you had to know what you were doing there.”

The water system failure in Calgary isn't solely Nenshi's fault, but a lot lands on his lap.
Especially since he apparently hid the issue from council.
The neglect is due to mayors & councils that drift far beyond their mandates.
They piss around with everything from health care issues, to virtue signalling on international issues, to fast food bag bans, while neglecting to to their real job which is to ensure the damn garbage is picked up, the police are funded and the roads are paved.

I've said for years battery tech was not there enough to substantiate switching all vehicles in Canada.
Our grids will NEVER be able to handle the loads.
The costs are FAR TO HIGH for most consumers.
But Hybrid Tech IS HERE. Had the govt backed hybrids, they'd be in a better position and not have lost so much of our tax dollars in their failed investments.
